Colton became well aware of his God given vocal talent at a young age; however, it wasn't until he sang an a capella version of "Imagine" by the Beatles at his 5th grade talent show that he realized how powerful his gift was. Colton's talent show performance was received by a standing ovation from an audience of over 200 people, and from that moment on, Colton knew exactly what he wanted to do for the for the rest of his life.

Following Colton’s milestone talent show performance, he began to take piano and singing lessons at a local music studio. When Colton was 12 years old, he was asked to sing the National Anthem for the Frisco Rough Riders (Texas Ranger’s AA Baseball Franchise) after participating in an open audition. That same year, Colton was one of eight young artists whom were hand selected from a nationwide search to audition for Simon Fuller’s Boy Band for the Next Generation Project, also known as IM5 (co-produced by Jamie King and Perez Hilton) in Los Angeles, CA. In late 2010, Colton joined the Septien Entertainment Group based out of Dallas, TX where he receives vocal coaching from Linda Septien. Ms. Septien is known for coaching some of the most successful young musical talent in the industry today such as Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and Jessica Simpson. In June 2011, Colton received the prestiges honor of being asked to join the Septien Entertainment Group’s Master Artist Program.

In July of 2011, Colton introduced himself to the world via YouTube. In less than 6 months, Colton’s YouTube videos received over 1,750,000 views, resulting in him capturing over 12,500 Subscribers and 30,000 Friends on his YouTube Channel. In the same period of time, he has accumulated over 100,000 Twitter followers and received more than 21,500 Facebook likes. Colton’s popularity is growing by the day. He is quickly building an army of fans that are truly inspired by his music.

As a result of Colton’s viral success, he has had the opportunity to perform at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX, The Palladium Ballroom, Hard Rock Café and Six Flags Over Texas. Colton also performed live with his band at “The Blind Pig” sponsored by RedGorilla during 2012 SXSW Music Festival in Austin, TX. In addition, he has performed at the McKinney Performing Arts Center as well as opened for American Idol contestant Tim Halperin at the 2011 Plano October-Feast. Most recently, Colton auditioned and made the 2012 Kidd Kraddick Rock Band sponsored by The Kidd Kraddick In The Morning Show (syndicated in over 70 Top 40 Radio Markets across the United States) and had the honor of performing LIVE on the air with Amy Heidemann from the band KARMIN.

To give back to his local community, Colton recorded the song “Mary Did You Know” on a Christmas Album sponsored by Bethlehem Place benefiting families in need as well as performed at the 2012 Carry The Load Celebration honoring families of fallen Soldiers, Fire Fighters and Police Officers.

In early 2012, Colton partnered with TMI Entertainment to record 12 original songs that speak to his journey of following his dream of becoming a professional entertainer so that he can become a positive role model and help influence the youth of today in order to inspire them to follow their dreams and to never let bullies and haters hold them down.

Colton released his first two singles (Sand Castle & Last Forever – “The Beginning”) via Universal Music Group Distribution on February 28, 2012 via iTunes, Amazon and other digital distribution sources and Internet Radio. In September, 2012, the official music video for his song “Sand Castle” is scheduled to be released on YouTube, VEVO and TV.

Following the release of the "Sand Castle" music video, Colton will be releasing the titled track from his EP titled "Unstoppable" on October 30, 2012. Shortly following, he will release (6) additional songs via his EP titled "Unstoppable". The title track “Unstoppable” contains a very powerful message that will resonate with people of all ages who have at one point in their lives been told that they are not good enough and / or has been on the receiving end of being bullied. Colton hopes that through the success of his music, he can inspire young people across the world to follow their dreams and to never let haters and bullies hold them down.

In addition to the song “Unstoppable”, Colton’s EP will also include the following song titles: “New Day”, “Drum Line”, “Don’t Look Down”, “Be My Girl” along with the re-release of the fan favorite "Sand Castle" and “Last Forever”.
