In 2003 Andy LaPlegua of "Icon of Coil" wrote a few power noise/techno cross over tracks under the name of "D.R.I.V.E.". This was changed to "Combichrist" when the debut album, "The Joy of Gunz" was set to be released on Out Of Line. The name Combichrist originates from a hardcore fanzine LaPlegua made during the late 90s, with "JR Ewing" guitarist Håkon Mella.

The follow up EPs, and the clamour for live shows, sent Combichrist out on the road where they would become known for their strong and energetic performances.

Their second EP, "Sex, Drogen und Industrial", spent 7 weeks at number one in the DAC charts.

In March of 2007 they released their third album "What The Fuck Is Wrong With You People?". "Today We Are All Demons", was released on January 20th, 2009.

The band had been selected to support industrial metal band "Rammstein" for their 2009 European tour and continued to support them during the 2010 part of the tour.

August 2010 saw the release of "Making Monsters", which had full tracks available for streaming on the website, each track being rolled out for a new one. Combichrist undertook a tour in support of the new album in late 2010, with "Aesthetic Perfection" and "iVardensphere" as the support bands.

Their most recent album, "No Redemption", was released in January of 2013 in both single and 2CD versions. This album was the official soundtrack album for the video game "Devil May Cry". The limited edition bonus CD was essentially a greatest hits compilation.

March 2014 will see the release of a new album titled "We Love You", with an accompanying tour of North America starting in April. "William Control" and "New Years Day" have been announced as the support bands.

Combichrist have had much more success than many of the other acts emerging from the electronic underground and the band have become one of the dark electro scene's most popular live acts.

The roster of live members is currently Joe Letz (ex "Genitorturers"), Mr Petersen, Z_Marr (ex "Hell Trash"), Kourtney Klein (who also played drums for the reformed "Nitzer Ebb") and Trevor Friedrich who was the drummer for "Eighteen Visions" and "Imperative Reaction". Past live members include Håkon Mella, Bjoern Petersen, Syn M, Shaun Frandsen & Jon H.

Is a easy game in lower dificultys,but in higher ones,is a hell to complete.I am already in GMD (Gods Must Die)Dificulty on DE and i can confirm that this game,sometimes,can be a pain on ass.

Edit:Still,i understand why people hated this game. I just discovered now,but,Ninja Theory spoke bad things from the classic characters. @Nova Verse Their re-imagining is definitely interesting, but it just wasn't what people were looking for. The story in the main series wasn't quite wrapped up yet; and people wanted closure for the characters they were attached to, not similar but distinctly different characters.

It doesn't help that the different takes on the characters were more in line with what you'd expect from just looking at their character designs than the actual traits they had. Vergil being an intellectual and political deviant makes sense if you just look at his design, but actually getting to know him and the story, the most interesting part of his character was his mindless pursuit of power. The re-imagined characters may have strengths of their own, but they're so different they're basically just different characters.

This game is better than a lot of people give it credit for. The gameplay was awesome, the visuals were spot on, and the music was kick ass.

Sure the story was a little more serious than the original games, and the characters were a bit bland, but it’s definitely not the worst. That honor goes to DMC2.

This game is legendary. It could rival or even surpass some titles from the original saga. Its only "error" was to use the names of the original game and its characters (it's not the game's fault, though). At the end we still got DMC 5, and I hope we can get DmC 2. It shouldn't be seen as a substitute, but as an alternative. A really cool one.

Es jugable DmC, pero tenía problemas. Como el no poder fijar a los enemigos, no tenía una guía sobre los demonios; esto es importante porque saber está información ayudaba a crear mejores estrategias cuando luchabas. También había enemigos que si abusabas de ciertos combos les bajabas la guardia, como el cazador de sueños que abusandole de Millón Stab lo mate sin que el engendro se me acercara entre muchos otros problemas.
Sin embargo, si me hubiera gustado ver una secuela de este juego, ya que Ninja Teory quiso aprender de sus errores y eso se nota con el remaster, que arregla algunos de esos problemas.

@Yung Bratz Shawty el juego se condeno solo mas por el aspecto genérico de la historia y como se remplazo el estilo (marca e identidad de la saga devil may cry) por algo supuestamente "moderno" en esos tiempos cuando salio el juego, dándole un toque demasiado emo y hasta bizarro al juego que en vez de explotar el potencial del concepto se fueron a por lo "seguro" y por ello el hate, no es un mal juego en cuanto a mecánicas y gameplay que sinceramente me gusto mas que devil may cry 4 y los escenarios gigantescos del limbo son maravillosos, pero la terrible escritura y el hecho de que hubo pocos elementos que daban "estilo" al juego que obteniendo la identidad de devil may cry (la cámara lenta después de matar a un enemigo fue un detalle asombroso pero quitaron la burla quitando también personalidad a Dante)
Fueron los que condenaron el hate a este juego.

@Therealmrko0lz 5 has some of the most deepest gameplay in any action game. You could produce so many combo routes out of it especially as Dante or Vergil. The reboot is nowhere near it's level in gameplay I am sorry it has less moves with its weapons and plus 5 requires more effort and skill too plus the royal guard system adds a risk vs reward system to the gameplay too.

The reboot is fun but no I am sorry it does not have more depth than 5 not even 4.

And tbh, I'd say I like this game more than DMC5. I was kind of disappointed with DMC5. I bet you've never even PLAYED DmC, and you're just doing what everybody else does. I was like you once. But then I actually played the game. I don't regret buying it.

DmC Devil May Cry had good concepts but poor execution while also insulting most of the fan base when it was released, if they'd given it a bit more time and worked on the dialogue more then I'd say it's just as good as Devil May Cry 5, but what we got wasn't the case. Though it has potential, and I'd like to see with the reboot word.

I'm an old school Devil May Cry player. Dante must die mode is the goal every time. Even DMC 3. But I really liked the reboot in its own way. I view it as a parallel universe with an alternate edgier Dante. Nothing wrong with edgy characters in my book. I mean I like the punisher and hellblazer. Although my gripes with the game are, they could have made him less of a dick with a better sense of humor, made the fights harder but less frustrating, and fleshed out the characters and their motivations a bit better. I do really like the slightly gothic grungy urban punk feel they gave the game though.

@Priscilla Oliver More like it wasn't up to Fans Expectation, the Instant Donte was revealed every fan hated him and don't even get me started on the Marketing. People think if this game didn't have DMC's name on it, it would've been fine but I think that's wrong on two levels.

First if it was titled with a Different name people would call it a knockoff.
Second without the DMC name on it we wouldn't get DMC5 cuz the name actually helped it get the money and fame it need for Capcom to give both DMC4 and DmC their Special Editions.

and this is coming from a guy who Started the DMC franchise with 4 the literal peak of Hack in Slash, I liked this Game it's simple cuz it was streamlined.. two of my friends were introduced to DMC by this Game.

I know its a reboot, but I think this game would have been better if it wasnt. If it was just its own standalone thing. Remove the reworked characters and replace them with new characters so people werent yelling how "This isnt Dante" and "Thats not Vergil". It would have been one less thing the game was bashed for but from what I understamd it was one of the biggest reasons.

DMC is my second favorite in the franchise, I really loved the story, all the demon stuff with subliminal control in midia, even the new Dante has my liking, the only thing I finded bad at the game after all was how Kat was a underused and bad developted character.

wow I cant believe this game has been out for I think over 7 years already I played this game as a youngster when it first came out and i was super hyped cause i was a fan of the original games and i loved this game so much and the soundtrack just as much, no matter what anyone says about the game I loved it and its franchise and I love this specific games soundtrack deeply cause ironically this was the first real dmc game I played despite knowing so much about it before hand.
