The parliamentary system remains in power due to the support of the elite upper class.

There is no independence in party politics
Political parties are beholden to the interests of the establishment and do not function independently.

They police the street, they dictate the beat
The powerful enforce their control over society through exerting control over law enforcement.

The established institutions put in place protections to maintain their interests and ensure that those who oppose them are silenced or intimidated.

The state of the world is a sad reflection of the failures of humanity.
