Change
Conor & Jay Lyrics

You can change the world,
If you wanted to
Now step on up
and light the fire
Time to change the dark
into the light,
the light, the light to day
Let's change the night to day
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the night
to day)
You can change the world,
If you wanted to
Now step on up
and light the fire
Time to change the dark
into the light,
the light, the light to day
Let's change the night to day
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the night
to day)
It's time to step
outside your room
stay the night to day
(We gotta change)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the night
to day)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)
(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)

(We gotta change the world,
change, change the world)

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Conor & Jay's song "Change" depict Conor's resilience and determination to remain unchanged by the negative experiences and people he has encountered in his life. Conor is aware that he has been through a lot, but he is not going to change his values, principles, or personality in response to it. He is not interested in blaming people for his problems, but rather taking responsibility for himself. Conor acknowledges the power that comes with fame and how it can change some people or make them switch their behavior, but he will not do the same.

Conor has faced trust issues and struggles with adjusting to certain situations in his life. He wants to stay away from the game and the people who can break his trust. Conor finds solace in material possessions like driving a Mulsanne and hitting two stains. He also enjoys being chased by women who want to do anything he says. Conor occasionally talks about his past relationship that didn't work out because of the other person's egocentricity and greed.

The song "Change" portrays Conor's character as someone who is confident, unapologetic, and unyielding. He values his roots and wants to keep them intact regardless of the challenges that come his way. The lyrics suggest that no matter how much one goes through, they can learn from it, become a better person and move on with their lives without being bitter or hateful towards others.

GTA III was such a lonely game if you think about it. Everyone that Claude ever worked for and known betrayed him or they just vanished and it was pretty obvious he didn't have any family, at least that we know of and this song really adds to the lonely vibe and atmosphere of the game.
