Axe to Fall
Converge Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Waiting for the axe to fall

Sun is sinking clouds collecting

I'm in a race to
Stop the bleeding me

My will is leaving darkness falling

Need to finally cut
Me from you

I need to learn to love me

I need to stop this suicide
Machine

I need to learn to love me

I need to stop this destruction

I need to
Learn to love me

@JLCannibal

This song rocked my socks off as a kid. Extreme metal bands like Converge and Tony Danza will always hold a special place in my heart.

@Dyomaeth

He's not only the singer. He writes the majority of the music and does the band's artworks. He can't be the weak link, and whether you like his vocals or not you'll have to agree he adds a lot to the music's intensity and sounds pretty unique.

@Kerrfuffle

"Weak link" holy shit whoever you were speaking to 9 years ago was a clown. That's an opinion I'd expect from someone who has barely any experience with harsh vocals.

@mycoachknowsthesheriff8396

Agreed

@8Metaphysicist8

This band is so visceral - everything about them, especially their sound. I've listened to every breed of hardcore and metal there is, and nothing has caught my attention like this. I must say, it's complete frickin' noise, but I'm hooked on it! I like it.

@vakuola

Converge are an acquired taste, but, once you get into them, you also realize they are one of the most talented metal bands out there. YES, including Jacob Bannon, the vocalist.

@NoMooreMercyClips

This album is amazing, seriously one of the best releases of the entire year.

@r4reform

i could listen to an axe to fall/jane doe/no heroes shuffle all day. this band just pushes the boundaries of what you can do with music, they should be appreciated by everyone.

@ACadaver

Axe to Fall gave me high hopes for Converge. The slower parts thrown in really make it so I can listen to a full album, it's nice.

@rahilkiani

Really appreciate all of their music from the beginning to the present. The artwork is always a welcome treat too.
