Converge have enjoyed a relatively high level of recognition. According to AllMusic, they are "regarded as one of the most original and innovative bands to emerge from the punk underground." Their popularity rose with the release of Jane Doe, which was ranked as the best album of 2001 by Terrorizer and later as the 61st Best Metal Album of All Time by Rolling Stone. Subsequently, Converge moved from Equal Vision Records to the considerably larger label Epitaph Records and their records gradually became more elaborate and expensive to produce. Special releases have traditionally been handled by Deathwish Inc., established by Bannon in 1999. The band's ninth studio album, The Dusk in Us, was released in November 2017 through Deathwish and Epitaph.

It might just be me, but I don't hear "trophy"
I can't make out what it is though either so...
Would think it would be something like "truth and" or "beauty"
"trophy" just doesn't make sense to me
And the part where it says "keep fading" sounds more like "keep fighting to me"
as in what would make sense with the lyrics that came before it and after it
Big ups to the uploader though, I wouldn't have the patience to get nearly as far lol

I'll admit that Converge was hard for me to get into. Mostly due to the absolute inability to understand or sometimes hear the vocals combined with the complete, off the wall, instrumentals. After reading the lyrics with the music, though, my eyes are open to the huge creativity and aggression that they possess in their material. It's like I understand them now. Now I just want to dig into them even more.

I don't listen to too much really aggressive music anymore, but there was time when I adored this band. This is actually the first time I've known what was being screamed/sung. I would not have guessed that it was this positive and sensitive (for lack of better words). Kind of shifts the way you receive the music.
