Cuando te conocí
Y ya pienso en ti
Casi más que en mí
Y ya pienso en ti
Mucho más que en mí.
Apenas fue ayer
(Apenas fue ayer)
Mi nombre y descubrí
Cuanto iba a sufrir.
Abriste los ojos
(Abriste los ojos)
Y los vi reír
(Y los vi reír).
Cerré los míos
Y empecé a soñar
Pensando en ti
Y en lo que me das
Pensando en mañana
Y en volverte a abrazar.
Eres, eres mi alegría
Toda, toda mi ilusión
Eres, eres mi alegría
Toda, toda mi ilusión
Eres compañía
Puro corazón
Eres todavía
Mi pequeño amor.
Eres, eres mi alegría
Toda, toda mi ilusión
Eres, eres mi alegría
Toda, toda mi ilusión
Eres compañía
Puro corazón
Eres todavía
Mi pequeño amor.
Y eres...
The song "Mi Pequeño Amor" by Copi Corellano is a beautiful romantic ballad that speaks about the singer's intense feelings for someone he has recently met. The lyrics describe the overwhelming love and affection that the singer already feels for the person, even though they only met yesterday. He thinks about this person constantly and feels that they are now more important to him than he is to himself. The singer recalls the exact moment when he first heard the person say his name, and he knew from that moment on that he was going to suffer from the intensity of his emotions towards them. He feels that this person brings him happiness and hope for the future, and he looks forward to being able to embrace them again soon.
The lyrics are simple, yet profound, and they beautifully capture the excitement and vulnerability that comes with falling in love. The use of the phrase "apenas fue ayer" ("it was only yesterday") throughout the song emphasizes the rapid development of the singer's feelings for this person, and how much they have come to mean to him in such a short amount of time. The chorus repeats the phrase "eres, eres mi alegría, toda, toda mi ilusión" ("you are, you are my joy, my entire dream"), further cementing the depth of the singer's emotions towards the person he is singing about.
Overall, "Mi Pequeño Amor" is a beautiful ode to love and the power that it has to completely consume a person's heart and mind.
