Every Ados usually has a sizable chunk from Mali in there DNA from these first wave of enslaved in America , they layed the culural groundwork , the Banjo is from the Gambia , ofcourse Blues is just Sahel music , with Euro Influences added to the mix but the syncopation is something from African Rythm and the penatonic scales

@Miss Britt I have to be careful of YT's overly sensitive self. Many times "they" will assert that they've had an influence when in reality, they just didn't care to search for it and to be honest it's out of being jelly & rcist. Somehow we can produce complex rhythmic patterns but not harmony and chord progression. It existed in our cultures and we brought it w/us. Gerhard Kubik, is a good source, look up harmony in Africa. If I give you the exact title the comment might be deleted. You may enjoy a book called Africanisms in American Culture by Holloway.
