Hart became an instant hit with his rebellious looks, and his first album released in 1983 First Offense, featuring the hit song Sunglasses at Night. The album sold well in both Canada and the United States. The follow-up album was Boy in the Box in 1985, another very successful album featuring the song Never Surrender, which would be his highest-charting single. Hart would continue to record music, but his commercial success was significantly reduced after Box.
Today, Hart lives in the Bahamas with his wife, musician Julie Masse, and their four children.
Is It Too Late?
Corey Hart Lyrics

He can see the world
Little brother watches Jack at the factory
Draw the flags unfurled
Little brother watches back when the mercenary
Dances with its prize
Little brother watches Jack build machinery
So we can modernize And are we pullin' it down?
Is it too late?
Have we hit the ground?
No don't give it up
Don't give it up; don't give it up
Don't give it up
O no no, O no no
O no no now
Little brother watches back when the nation's
Of the world bless and sanctify
Little brother watches Jack tell his kid
To stop asking why
Little brother watches back to the day of judgment
When we must decide
Little brother watches Jack buy and sell the soul
That he has wrought inside
And are we pullin' it down?
Is it too late?
Have we hit the ground?
No don't give it up
Don't give it up
I said don't give it up, don't give it up
O no no
Said no no no no no no-o
Said no no no ah
And are we pullin' it down? Is it too late?
Have we hit the ground?
No don't give it up
Don't give it up
I said don't give it up
O no don't give it up
O no no
O no no
Said no-o-o, no, no, no
No-o
Little brother watches back
Little brother, he's watching back
There goes Jack at the factory
O
O no no no
Bless and sanctify
Bless and sanctify.
In this song, Corey Hart is contemplating the state of the world and questioning whether it's too late to make a change. He uses the metaphor of "little brother" watching over the world and observing the actions of people like Jack at the factory and the mercenary. The flags are being unfurled, indicating the start of something significant, but for better or for worse, it's not clear. Little brother is also watching as nations come together to bless and sanctify, and as Jack tells his child to stop asking questions. Hart is highlighting the dichotomy between progress and destruction, growth and decay, and is wondering if it's possible to strike a balance before it's too late.
The repeated refrain of "don't give it up" is a call to action, a plea not to give up on the world, despite its flaws and imperfections. The final plea of "bless and sanctify" also has a spiritual tone, suggesting that perhaps a higher power could intervene and save humanity from its own mistakes.
Overall, this song is a reflection on the state of the world and the urgent need for change. It highlights the consequences of our actions, but also offers a glimmer of hope in the form of a plea to not give up and to strive for the betterment of society.

No probs :) It was an issue we anticipated - that people would think it was a different petition and sign it again. I'm trying to keep it clear on this page that it's all just one effort. And I was planning to keep an eye on it, so that we could find a "fix" if people were doing things twice. I don't know if they maybe click twice on the submit button, when they do it one after the other? Most people should know that your "signature" will only count once.
