Such a thing that you ain't get with it
This way to the trippin' easy
Toke comes out break, keep it breezy
And you know the long term plan
Is to stay there for as long as you can
You know the shortest route
Twin carbs between your leather boots
So, this way to the trippin' easy
This way to the trippin' easy
The lyrics to Cornershop's song "Trip Easy" are all about getting high and escaping reality. The first two lines reference "methylated spirit," which is a type of alcohol used for cleaning and fuel but also can be misused as a form of intoxication. The lyrics are essentially pointing the listener towards the path of getting high as a means of escaping reality. The next line mentions "trippin' easy" which is about using marijuana (as referenced in the line "Toke comes out break, keep it breezy") and implying its the easy and comfortable way to trip or get high.
The line "And you know the long term plan/ Is to stay there for as long as you can" is all about prolonging the high and doing whatever it takes to stay in that escape from reality. The final line "You know the shortest route/ Twin carbs between your leather boots" is referencing using any means necessary to keep the high going or to get high quickly. This theme of escapism through substances is prevalent throughout the song, and the lyrics urge the listener to take the easy route of getting high instead of facing reality.
