Zij is een dochter van Piet van Gorp, die deel uitmaakte van het accordeon-trio The Three Jacksons. Corrie van Gorp werd landelijk bekend begin jaren '70 toen zij samen met Willem Nijholt optrad in twee theatershows van Wim Sonneveld.
In 1975 speelde Van Gorp één van de hoofdrollen in de musical Een kannibaal als jij en ik van Freek de Jonge en Bram Vermeulen. Hetzelfde jaar was zij voor het eerst te zien in een revue van André van Duin. Samen met Frans van Dusschoten vormden zij jarenlang een populair revue-gezelschap. Twee bekende typetjes die Van Duin en Van Gorp samen vertolkten waren Meneer en Mevrouw de Bok.
Van Duin bezorgde Van Gorp ook een aantal carnavalhits en filmrollen. Haar grootste succesnummers waren Zo slank zijn als je dochter (1977) en Alie van de Wegenwacht (1980). Tol Hansse en Clous van Mechelen maakten de LP Corrie van Gorp (1978) voor haar, met daarop onder andere de single Een Hollandse Boerenmeid.
Nadat Van Gorp zich uit het theater had teruggetrokken, woonde ze jarenlang in het buitenland. Ook heeft ze in de jaren '80 in Noordwijk, Zuid-Holland gewoond. Momenteel woont ze in Rotterdam.
Haar (geplande) laatste optreden verzorgde ze op 24 september 2007 in Exloo, samen met Van Duin, Lee Towers, Ron Brandsteder en begeleid door o.a. Bert Brandsma op bassaxofoon.
In 2009 was Van Gorp weer te zien op televisie als Mevrouw de Bok, in de wekelijkse Dik Voormekaar Show van André van Duin en Ferry de Groot.

The song “Halo” by Beyoncé is a love song that is about the euphoria that comes with falling in love after walls and barriers that one has built around themselves have been pulled down by the love of their life. The first stanza of the song is about how the walls one builds around themselves to keep love out have come tumbling down because of the love of their life. It is a euphoric feeling because they thought that the walls they had built were there for a reason but they didn’t put up a fight, and they made no sound while coming down. In the second stanza, Beyoncé expresses her addiction to her lover and how she has never felt this way about anyone. She says that the risk she's taking is allowing herself to fall in love again, and it's a risk she's willing to take. She's willing to take the risk because she's addicted to his love, and it feels like she's been awakened.
