Can't Fight This Feeling

And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow
What started out as friendship has grown stronger
I only wish I had the strength to let it show
And even as I wander I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window on a cold dark winter's night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore
My life has been such a whirlwind since I saw you
I've been running round in circles in my mind
And it always seems that I'm following you, girl
'Cause you take me to the places that alone I'd never find
And even as I wander I'm keeping you in sight
You're a candle in the window on a cold dark winters night
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might
And I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
It's time to bring this ship into the shore
And throw away the oars forever
'Cause I can't fight this feeling anymore
I've forgotten what I started fighting for
Even if I have to crawl upon the floor
Come crushing through your door
Baby, I can't fight this feeling anymore
In Cory Monteith's song "Can't Fight This Feeling," the lyrics speak of a person who can no longer deny their romantic feelings towards someone they were once friends with. The singer admits that they are afraid to show their true feelings, but despite their fear, they cannot help but constantly think of this person. The singer describes this person as a "candle in the window" that guides them closer to them than they ever thought possible. The lyrics reveal that the singer has been running in circles in their mind until they saw this person, who brings them to places they never would have found on their own.
The chorus then asserts that the singer cannot fight their feelings anymore and is willing to throw away everything, including their pride and the metaphorical "oars" that kept them from moving forward. The song suggests that the singer's desire has become so strong that they are willing to do anything to be with this person. In the final two lines, the singer expresses their willingness to do anything, even if it means crawling on the floor and coming crashing through the person's door.
Overall, the song speaks to the universal experience of being afraid to take a leap in a romantic relationship, but eventually, one cannot resist their desire any longer.

Hard to believe he'd never sang before Glee, just talent, no auto tune needed. RIP.
Tony Cook
there is auto tune all over this. it's terrible.
SuBin Kim
+Tony Cook cuz its from a TV show of course they use autotune to make the songs more clean, but his live performances are beautiful considering he only used to sing in the car or shower.

+Tony Cook either way its not terrible with or without autotune.
