I love Kassadin too, after seeing you play it on stream a few months ago I spammed the champ and saw his power and potential. After the marksman changes, I feel like he has no place in the game, and while these meager buffs are nice, it confuses me why you say you like the changes when really it doesn't change anything about his place. It won't be enough to help him come back in the meta, and it certainly won't be enough to make him viable in competitive. There are too many options to shut him down early and win the game before he gets even the slightest chance to scale.

As an aside, I think Hail of Blades on Tahm Kench is a pretty good meme. You get to use q as a stun in your first rotation rather than using it to stack w, which gives him a lot of obnoxious dueling strength, but that could certainly be my ugly bronze-ass talking.

I'd like to see you reply to this if you end up reading it. I'd like to know what you think upon a second evaluation. I value your opinion and I'm not trying to start anything hostile.

Hey LS, on the topic of kassadin's items when entertaining the idea of implementing tear, did you mean going tear > roa? or did you mean switching out roa for tear entirely and going tear > lich bane? with the way the meta is, do you think tear + roa would still be too slow to really see reliable use out of?

I think the Lucian Ult change is designed to take away laning power from it. Lucian was often mowing through some minions to hit the people behind them. For example when a wave streams into the lane Lucian was always able to open fire and sitll hit a couple of shots through the wave because he killed it that fast. With this change people can hide much more easily.

I’ve been building roa>seraphin on kassadin these last patches. The powerspike he gets at lvl16 with full stacked roa and seraphin is tremendous and underestimated.

I'm surprised to hear you say youre disappointed by the patch. I've gone over it somewhat in-depth too and while I felt like a lot of stuff wasnt adressed that couldve been, at least most of the changes that were made actually made sense for once and hit the champions where they should be hit, for example with gragas, camille or trist.

The Irelia change however is one of the worst in recent memory. Irelias strength already isnt early laning phase, its how strong she is in the mid and lategame in teamfights. Not even in duels.

However they decide to absolutely destroy her ability to lane of all things, and probably force her into buying more than the standard 2 offensive items of triforce steraks to deal relevant damage.

Really liked the video, but i feel you missed the reason for Trynd buff. trynd use to build ER, but he cant anymore, making him no longer have a CDR build. He needed that cdr buff for his spin to compensate for lack of cdr item options

It's really weird that they nerf Nunu like that when the main problem is only the combination with champs like Karthus. Without Karthus Nunu already feels irrelevant in many cases. So nerfing him feels so weird.

I like your idea of having Nunu lasthit with q to grant him bonuses (and maybe even buff those bonuses).

roa seraphs kass build seems too slow scaling and too weak early for this patch tho. i think thats why people don't do it. those ite ms are expensive and their recipe doesn't really giev much power early-mid. you'd need alot of kills and farm

Lucian's R nerf allow people to use a minion wave to effectively tank the shots, I guess that's the point of the change.
Also Lethal Tempo + heavy AD/lethality builds on traditionally mid-lategame ADC's may actually abuse most of the marksman AD ratio buffs.

About the Guinsoo changes, riot said that they dont want adcs to build guinsoos as a first item. Kai'Sa nerf probs next patch (Hopefully a w nerf).
The problem with this is- Bork is literally the only first item a marksman can get that is decent considering how useless stormrazor is and how inefficient Ie as a first item is.

How is that 18% nerf on hybrid? When someone goes 100% into AD he is going to lose 9% of 100%. You as a hybrid will let's say, go for 30% AD and 70% AP. You will lose 9%*30% + 9%*70% damage, basically you will lose the same amount...

precisiontree gives cdr to ult on assist, so taric wouldnt care much about this 20s nerf... if you play this combo with yi, you expect 2 assists per ult anyway, so their window is a lot smaller than numbers say. In big teamfights you get even more of your ult reduced... doesnt change the fact yi is weak in competetiv anyway and in low elo he will still be good since he will get kills and the nerf doesnt matter or the focus is on point and he will lose regardless.
The buff to HoB is nice, but its so niche and reliant on the matchup... in small skirmishes you win super hard and can snowball your lane, but if they commit its gonna suck. Engage aa 3 times and disengage befor they can overpower you, so better dont play it against a bruiser :D

I think Hail isn’t being used because it’s just poorly designed. For most champions, individual auto attacks aren’t so impactful for most of the game that getting an extra ~1.5 in is worth not having a keystone. Either those three autos need to hit hard, or you need to be able to fit as many as you can within that burst window.

Just want to let you know that my friend and I were playing and we lost power for a few minutes. Instead of a 5 minute 5 game penalty, its now 20 minutes 5 games. 1 hour and 40 minutes due to one afk. He literally just started playing league again. Why stay away from twitch for solo que? He thrives in the chaos of solo que. If you know how to play him, I feel that he is the best solo carry adc to play.

I say Tristana with the nerfs to other laners can end up destroying. Hail of blades with a lethality rush will stomp solo queue if you factor in lower health and the buff to her E.

I don't understand why they nerf lucian if they do it to balance out win rates. He only went up like 2-3% with patch 8.11 so it seems kind of asinine. Imo they should just give crit adc's a little more to even out the spectrum instead of just nerfing champions that weren't even buffed to begin with.
Edit: plus he's only sitting at around 51.5% wr

except his winrate isn't that high and his playrate is only high because hes the pretty much the only viable adc BECAUSE of the crit changes.

Which is why imo, the crit changes were poorly thought out. I don't think they had any clue how hard it would fuck the botlane meta.

That has no relevance to his strength lol. Him being the "premier" bot laner as riot puts it and as his play rate would suggest, has no correlation to his winrate. He became "stronger" because all of the crit adc's got a huge early game nerf. This lets lucian outperform them in lane and easily carry into late game even though the only buff he got was crit items costing more than his items, which probably wasn't a foresight of riots balancing team.
