Count Arthur Strong is a fictional comedy character created by English comedian Steve Delaney. He is an elderly pompous out-of-work deluded thespian from the North of England who is challenged by attention deficit and memory loss. In 1997 Delaney resurrected him for his stand up comedy routine which gained a cult following in clubs. The character was performed at the Edinburgh Festival for several years to increasing praise and BBC Radio 4 launched a series for him in 2005. A second radio series will be recorded between September 2006 and January 2007 at the Komedia Theatre, Brighton
The character has appeared on Mark Radcliffe's BBC Radio 2 show.

Truly brilliant. Especially the superb Olivia Coleman as Minka and Mrs. Best. Going through severe depression and this makes me smile. Try it. β€
@hanneshuette
Thanks for the encouragement to try it, Elaine - I am going to now ππ» Humour is such a good medicine - even in the very darkest of times. Sending some light your way β¨

Olivia Colman 's performance of Minka was brilliant.

Been there, keep going. Small improvements count. Change is logarithmic.
It took meds, therapy and time for me. But change is possible, this is just temporary. Just keep goingβ€

I agree with a brilliant idea for a sit-com. It worked for M*A*S*H. Iβve always been intrigued with the work done at Bletchley. Great ensemble comedy. Thanks!
