In "Liza," Courier Club tells a story of a romance that begins in a west side apartment. The lyrics suggest that the couple met online and are doubtful about whether they can make it work, but they decide to give it a shot anyways because of the strong connection between them. They sound like The Strokes, and this is amazing. But the best part, that makes me like Courier Club more is that they can make odd time signatures and non-diatonic notes in most of their songs, and it gives a bit of depth that The Strokes will never have.
