No, no, yeah
Been lookin' for you in all the wrong places
But I don't go there no more
Every night seein' all the same faces
But I ain't seen you before
But girl, I think I love you, love you, love you
I put my lifeline in your hands (lifeline in your hands)
I already know it's over, over
Never fightin' you again, no sir
What I got to lose, I will take a chance
Girl I'm not afraid in runnin' away tonight though
I put my heart on the line for you, I put my heart on the line for you
All my friends think I'm crazy, maybe I've lost my mind, but
I put my heart on the line for you, my heart on the line for
You
I put my heart on the line for you, I put my heart on the line for you
For you
I put my heart on the line for you, my heart on the line for
Didn't come here lookin' for a situation
But who woulda thought?
I'd be breakin' every rule I ever made, but
Guess it's a good time to start
I don't even know you, know you, know you
But girl, I think I love you, love you, love you
I put my lifeline in your hands (lifeline in your hands)
I already know it's over, over
Never fightin' you again, no sir
What I got to lose, I will take a chance
Girl I'm not afraid in runnin' away tonight though
I put my heart on the line for you, I put my heart on the line for you
All my friends think I'm crazy, maybe I've lost my mind, but
I put my heart on the line for you, my heart on the line for
You
I put my heart on the line for you, I put my heart on the line for you
For you
I put my heart on the line for you, my heart on the line for
Girl, your body's callin'
Girl, I'm goin' all in
I put my heart on the line for you, I put my heart on the line for you
And all the stars allignin'
Just like perfect timin'
I put my heart on the line for you, my heart on the line for
You, oh no
I put my heart on the line for you, I put my heart on the line for you
For you
I put my heart on the line for you, my heart on the line for
In "Heartline," Craig David sings about how he has been looking for love in all the wrong places and seeing the same people every night, until he lays his eyes on a beautiful woman he has never seen before. He doesn't even know her, but he feels an instant connection to her and thinks he might be in love. He takes a chance and puts his heart on the line for her, even if his friends think he's crazy. Despite the risk of getting hurt, he's not afraid to run away with her that night because he believes it's worth it.
The chorus repeats throughout the song, emphasizing the theme of taking a risk for love. Craig David's smooth vocals and R&B beats create a romantic and adventurous vibe that matches the song's message. Overall, "Heartline" is a love song about letting go of fear and following your heart, even if it leads you down an uncertain path.

American Dream
I couldn’t agree with you more. Had he been 20 years old and came up now, he would be HUGE.
Aaliyah Angel<3
@American Dream nah his songs were released well for the time it was in
American Dream
@Aaliyah Angel<3 I meant that at the time he was making music, UK singers weren’t popular in the US. I was speaking solely about US popularity and the bias reputation the American music industry industry used to have. That would never happen today had he become popular now and been younger.

I don't understand what force is stopping Craig from becoming absolutely massive... Brilliant vocals and track.
Virtual Life Videos
It has to be marketing because he has the songs, the voice the looks, it seems the sky is the limit but marketing plays a huge role.
