Cream Lyrics
I'm thinkin' 'bout the times you drove in my car
I'm thinkin' that I might have drove you too far
And I'm thinkin' 'bout the love that you laid on my table
I told you not to wander 'round in the dark
I told you 'bout the swans, that they live in the park
Then I told you 'bout our kid, now he's married to Mabel
Well, I told you that the light goes up and down
Do you notice how the wheels go 'round?
Before they bring the curtain down
Yes, before they bring the curtain down
I'm talkin' 'bout a girl that looks quite like you
She didn't have the time to wait in the queue
She cried away her life since she fell off the cradle

According to the Badge Songfacts, this was written by Eric Clapton and George Harrison. The title has nothing to do with the song. Clapton saw Harrison's notes for this, and misread Bridge as Badge. He thought this is what Harrison named the song, so they used it for the title.

Thinkin' 'bout the times you drove in my car.

Yes, I told you that the light goes up and down.
Don't you notice how the wheel goes 'round?
And you better pick yourself up from the ground
Before they bring the curtain down,
Yes, before they bring the curtain down.
Talkin' 'bout a girl that looks quite like you.
She didn't have the time to wait in the queue.
She cried away her life since she fell off the cradle.

This song is so underrated. It's my favorite Cream song.
Duane Day
I think that it's the cream song that
I've listened to.....the live crossroads, tale's of brave ulysses, sunshine are steep competition.

The only song co-written by George Harrison and Eric Clapton. R.I.P. Jack Bruce. What a great bass player he was. Cream were a great band.
StarJunkie
The Cream was sort of like England's version of Rush, with the three unbelievably talented musicians. Different music styles eventually, but they both straight up rocked it early on. Hard to believe Ginger and Jack are gone and Clapton has a disorder that severely limits his ability to play guitar anymore. How about the way Jack Bruce would hold his electric bass at that time; sort of like Bill Wyman; Ginger was a total madman and Eric was quietly brooding over his future with The Cream. Great band.
