"I'm So Glad" was also recorded by Deep Purple, in a medley with their original song "Prelude to Happiness", for their 1968 debut album Shades of Deep Purple. Deep Purple supported Cream on their Farewell Tour in October 1968 where Cream's Goodbye version was recorded, and recorded their own live album, entitled Inglewood - Live in California on the same night. I'm so glad
I'm so glad
I'm glad, I'm glad, I'm glad
Don't know what to do
Don't know what to do
Don't know what to do
Tired of weeping
Tired of moaning
Tired of groaning for you
[Chorus]
Tired of weeping
Tired of moaning
Tired of groaning for you
[Chorus: x8]
The song "I'm So Glad" by Cream is a bluesy rock tune that expresses the feelings of a person who is tired of feeling sad and hopeless. The opening lines of the chorus, "I'm so glad, I'm so glad, I'm glad, I'm glad, I'm glad" convey the singer's relief to finally feel a sense of happiness and contentment. The repetition of the word "glad" emphasizes the singer's newfound joy and is a common theme in blues music, which often highlights overcoming hardship.
The following lyrics, "Don't know what to do, tired of weeping, tired of moaning, tired of groaning for you" describe the singer's previous state of despair. The repetition of the phrase "tired of" emphasizes that the singer has reached a breaking point and is exhausted from their emotional turmoil. The line "for you" suggests that the singer's sadness was caused by a relationship that has now ended, and they can finally move on.
The final repetition of the chorus brings the song to a close, with the singer expressing their joy and gratitude for finally finding happiness. In addition to being a song about overcoming sadness, "I'm So Glad" showcases Cream's signature blues-influenced sound, featuring Eric Clapton's intricate guitar playing and Jack Bruce's soulful vocals.

It's so nice that they were able to come back one more time before Jack and Ginger left us. That makes this performance all the more significant.

Amen. So happy Eric Clapton called them up to do this. I think maybe Eric was thinking this is some unfinished business that needed to happen.

How many bands can get back together after the best part of forty years apart and still sound just as good?

It is such a treat to see these three. I love seeing Clapton playing such a diverse amount of guitar. RIP Jack and Ginger. A truly great group.

@Gregory Larry It is hard to believe Bruce nd Baker are gone. Cream opened the door for me to real music when I was 12yrs old. Fifty years on and I am still exploring!
