Pressed Rat and Warthog
Cream Lyrics

Pressed Rat and Warthog have closed down their shop.
They didn't want to, 'twas all they had got.
Selling atonal apples, amplified heat,
And Pressed Rat's collection of dog legs and feet.

Sadly they left, telling no one goodbye.
Pressed Rat wre red jodhpurs, Warthog a striped tie.
Between them they carried a three-legged sack,
Went straight round the corner and never came back.
The bad captain madman had ordered their fate.
He laughed and stomped off with a nautical gate.
The gate turned into a deroga tree,
And his peg-leg got woodworm and broke into three.

Pressed Rat and Warthog have closed down their shop.
They didn't want to, 'twas all they had got.
Selling atonal apples, amplified heat,
And Pressed Rats collection of dog legs and feet.

Magical. No other word to describe it. The trumpet, the flutes, the horns, Ginger's stately rhythms, Jack's thundering imperial bass, Eric's guitar clanging away in the background...somehow it all just gels together without feeling anachronistic.

My dad always played this song for me when i was little, i always asked him to play this song for me, he would sit in his chair with me on his lap , this song would always help me sleep. Love you Dad!

A Nautical Gate

Perfect.I can almost hear you making the request.I think ,that though people believe it's "just" filler, Ginger and his wife , had a couple of toddlers at the time , and it may have been intended as just that , a bedtime story set to music, for them.

So cool Jarrod. Your Dad Loved the good stuff! We were of that same generation. Wonderful too be alive in those days. Your dad would've agreed.

Saw him play twice. Modeled my drum set after his.

Brilliant! A medievel madrigal/poem with burning rock an roll underneath.

A Nautical Gate

Indeed. Ginger's reassuring tones as he recites , juxtaposed against the turbulence building toward an absolutely , mad, jam outro.
