Ginger Baker on drums! The band is more than Eric Clapton.

Rest in Peace, Ginger. You were the finest.
Marvin Roop
Ginger ecentric so to speak but one of the best

@Brian Schulz Bonzo and Zep wouldn’t have existed without Cream coming before them. No shade on Zep intended Clapton was the prototype lead rock guitarist; Baker the prototype rhythmic soloist. Jack Bruce, Paul McCartney and John Entwhistle were the most skilled bassists

Bonzo was a hard hitter, Ginger had all that with rhythm no one else could touch
Mike Douglas
No one quite like him 😢 RIP

Greysen G. I think the comment refers to a musician named ginger

One of Rock's most legendary drummers, Ginger Baker. At age 15 (mostly self taught) he started working on his own original technique, a fusion of Jazz rhythms and African drumming. Baker went on to become Rock's first super star drummer with his inventive and impressive precussion work and his development of the Rock drum solo. He was one of the first to use 2 double bass drums and alternated his left leg between the hi hat and the left kick pedal. This along with his heavy hitting style makes him the prototype for Heavy Metal drummers and many players that imitated his style for Metal. I imagine it because he felt that bands like Black Sabbath ripped off the heavy blues sound of Cream. R.I.P Ginger Baker thanks for the sick beats ✌🎸🌈

Louie bellson , Dave black , Sam woodyard used Double bass drums before ginger did .
Ginger developped his own stuff in a heavier direction
So in that new heavy direction , he was a pionnier .
With Carmine Appice .

I think he also used two different size kick drums.
P. John
His drumming has a bit of premitive nuance. Not so technical, but emotional enough.
