Frustration
Crease Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've got no expectations
I complicate the complications
I've got no objection to whatever's going on

Filled with anticipation
I decorate with decoration
Try hard to be the focus of it all
Chorus:

Tell me you want me, 'cause I don't believe you
Feel the frustration - (I feel the frustration)
Life is the slowest form of suicide
Feel the frustration - (I feel the frustration)

I truly miss the sensation
I stimulate the stimulation
Hard not to miss the way you rub me wrong

When is my expiration?
I fascinate my fascination
I can't believe I'm hanging on this long

Chorus (x2)

Now I deny all allegations
I instigate the altercations
I'm always right or wrong, most never wrong

Chorus (x2)

Overall Meaning

In the song "Frustration" by Crease, the artist seems to be expressing their inner turmoil and confusion. The opening lines "I've got no expectations, I complicate the complications, I've got no objection to whatever's going on" give the impression of a resigned, apathetic attitude. The artist is trying to simplify their life by not expecting anything, but they end up complicating even the simplest aspects of their life. They accept whatever is going on around them, possibly because they feel helpless to change anything. The artist seems to be stuck in a cycle of frustration; they feel they aren't getting what they truly want out of life.

The second verse in the song focuses on the artist's inability to feel sensations they once enjoyed. They refer to stimulation as a decoration that they cannot seem to find or enjoy anymore. The line "I can't believe I'm hanging on this long" suggests that the artist is going through some kind of internal struggle or pain that they are trying to cope with.

The chorus "Tell me you want me, 'cause I don't believe you, Feel the frustration - (I feel the frustration), Life is the slowest form of suicide, Feel the frustration - (I feel the frustration)" is a cry for help or understanding. The artist seems to be in a state of confusion and disbelief, they need someone to affirm their worth and existence. The line "Life is the slowest form of suicide" suggests that the artist feels like their life is meaningless, and they are forced to endure it slowly, which adds to their frustration.

I miss Zeta.... rock stations in S. FL suck without it. I heard crease on zeta and have listened to them since. I really thnk they should have made it big. They are more talented than a lot of other bands out there (*cough* bieber*cough*) this song and butterfly stitches are two of my favorites. I really love the the chorus "Life is the Slowest Form of Suicide".
