Gravity
Crease Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Sense. You. Near. Once again.
Now, What. You. Want. Is flowing through me.
Over and over, you're hanging your head.
To the point where my cold-blue eyes turn red.
It's the same old fiction.
The same old lines.
Your life is hectic and pathetic, and it's messing with mine.
Came. To. Know. How you work.
You, Want. To. Be. Just like me.
Rolling and rolling and rolling your eyes.
And you're lost in a sea of mind over size.
It's a lesson in skill.
And it's a lesson of life.
It's selfish, energetic, subliminal, wise.

Keep. Off. Me. You're growing near.
Just, Push. It. In. So far it's sin.
Bigger and better, the stronger you get.
Waste away? In your dreams. The scenario's set.
It's always something,
When something ain't right.
It's over here, over there.
It's always a fight.

I see you come falling down.

Overall Meaning

The song Gravity by Crease discusses the singer's tumultuous relationship with someone close to them. The opening lines suggest that they simply sense this person's presence, and the following lines suggest that this person's wants and desires are influencing the singer. The repetition of "it's the same old fiction, the same old lines" shows that this relationship has a repetitive, tiresome quality to it. The singer's mention of their "cold-blue eyes turn[ing] red" suggests that they are becoming emotionally distraught and worn down by this person's behavior.

The second verse suggests that the singer has come to understand the person's motivations and how they operate. The line "you want to be just like me" suggests that this person may be insecure or envious of the singer. The use of "rolling and rolling and rolling your eyes" suggests that they may be dismissive or condescending towards the singer. The lesson in skill and life may refer to the singer's understanding of this person's behavior and how to navigate it. The final lines of the verse suggest that this person's behavior has negative consequences for both of them.

The final verse suggests that the relationship has deteriorated to the point where the singer needs to distance themselves from this person. The line "just push it in; so far it's sin" could refer to the idea that this person is crossing boundaries or becoming too involved in the singer's life. The singer seems to suggest that this person is becoming more powerful or dominant, but they refuse to give up or "waste away." The final line "I see you come falling down" implies that the consequences of this person's behavior will catch up with them eventually.

How does this video only have 62 views and no comments I'll never know. Great music here friends. Not sure whatever really happened with this band, but my guess would be corporate interference resulting in a 10-year penalty, but I could be way off! Never the less, awesome tunes.
