Melisa,
cuando pienses en volver,
No olvides
In "Melisa", Crecí en Veritas sings about a girl named Melisa, who thinks she is the owner of the bar and walks along the boulevard. The lyrics suggest that Melisa is someone who likes to drink and drown out her sorrows, taking a sip of her "agony". Despite her confident exterior, the song hints at Melisa's vulnerability and struggles. The singer reflects on his memories of Melisa, describing her in a neon mask and lingerie. He also narrates an incident where he saw her running from the police with some worthless jewelry under her skirt. Melisa is portrayed as someone who takes risks and may have a habit of stealing, possibly due to her difficult circumstances.
The chorus encourages Melisa to remember that a kiss requires two people, perhaps suggesting that she needs to seek connection and try to overcome some of her inner demons. The repetition of the phrase "cuando pienses en volver" (when you think about coming back) implies that Melisa has left or intends to leave, but the promise they made still holds true.
The lyrics of "Melisa" offer a poignant snapshot of a young woman's life and struggles, exploring themes of addiction, poverty, and vulnerability. The song has a melancholic tone that reflects the sadness and hopelessness felt by the singer.
