To stop her powering the vault key. She'd been on the eridium injectors for so long that she'd die without them, but it was the only way to stop Jack from keeping her around and powering the key, which was in the shielded part with Angel. By disabling the injectors they also disabled the shield so they could get the key, though that killed her in the process.
