Get me out of my misery, pull me out of this hell
This shouldn't be allowed, sweet young lady yells
Take away this frustration, take away all this pain
I don't need no sedation, you've got to suffer to gain
Painkiller - evening thriller
Call me up on the telephone, call me up night or day
I'll becon to your call, try anything you say
Take way this frustration, take away all this pain
I don't need no sedation, you've got to suffer to gain
Painkiller - evening thriller
Fantasy fulfiller - painkiller
The lyrics to Cronos's song Painkiller speak of a person in deep distress and agony, desperately seeking an escape from their suffering. The song starts with the singer pleading to be rescued from the hellish state they are in, and wondering how such pain is even allowed in this world. Then, he mentions a sweet young lady who is yelling, perhaps symbolizing his inner demons that are making the pain worse. But instead of seeking sedation, he insists on enduring the pain, believing that suffering is necessary for any gain.
In the second verse, the singer urges anyone who can help to call him, promising to do whatever they say if it means getting rid of the pain. He then repeats his desire to have the frustration and pain taken away without sedation, insisting that the only way to gain anything is to suffer. And in the chorus, he declares that the painkiller is not just an evening thriller but also an ecstasy fulfiller and a fantasy fulfiller.
Overall, the lyrics to Painkiller deal with the idea that pain is an inevitable part of existence but can also give way to pleasure and ecstasy. It speaks to the human condition of fighting through suffering and finding relief in the end.
