Adeste Fideles
Crosby Bing Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Adeste fidelis
Laeti triumphantes
Venite, venite in Bethlehem

Natum videte regem angelorum
Venite adoremus
Venite adoremus
Venite adoremus Dominum

O come, all ye faithful
Joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

Sing, choirs of angels
Sing in exultation
O sing, all ye citizens of Heav'n above
Glory to God
In the highest

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him

O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

Ave Maria by Pavarotti, Maria Callas and Andrea Bocelli. Ave Maria means hail Mary.

@RussDav-y6i

@@nancycambareri4535 Christ the Lord, not Mary, for His faithful mother Mary herself would, like her Son's Word, condemn all such wicked detraction from her Lord & Son.

Brings me back to a lil kid praying over Christmas dinner at my grandma's

@RobertRiley-d1c

My family used to listen to Bing Crosby's Adeste on a 78 rpm record every year at Christmas. My devout mother especially loved it and sang along in her dulcet voice.

Makes me happy and warm in the heart

@aerosmith186

Mom used to play this every Christmas over and over again, this whole album is embedded in my head. I'll never forget this album and our Christmas tree lit up with red lights. I'm 58 year's old and every Christmas I put this on. Takes me right back to when I was a kid.
