As a proof, the mini CD “Destiny” (2001) and “Spirit” (2005) received good to excellent reviews worldwide. “Destiny” was even chosen as Demo of the Month by the German Magazine “Break Out”!
On several occasions, Crown of Glory was able to show its potential live on stage, for instance as opener for Doro, Axel Rudi Pell, Blaze, Bruce Kullick, Candlemass and Shakra. During the year, they play approximately 15-20 gigs throughout Switzerland and Southern Germany.
In October and November 2006, Crown of Glory produced their first longplayer “A Deep Breath of Life” at the House of Audio Studios in Karlsdorf (Germany). The final touch to the CD was given by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69), who mixed the album in January 2007.
The longplayer is the result of a thoroughgoing band forging ahead: Having come a long way from their humble beginnings in 1998, Crown of Glory have, against all odds, never given up their love for their music and their belief in heavy metal..

The first verse talks about an intense feeling that the singer cannot contain inside of them. They seem to be encouraging the listener to join in on this feeling, to be a part of a group that is powerful and stands out from the rest. The second verse seems to describe the struggle the singer has had to capture this feeling and overcome some type of internal obstacle. They are celebrating being loud and taking control, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.
The chorus, "Let's start the show, if you're not in it you'll never understand it, the calling that tempts me so much" seems to represent the idea that this feeling and sense of community is something that is not easy to explain or understand unless someone is a part of it. It is powerful and tempting to the singer, and they see it as an escape from the struggles they face. They seem to be inviting the listener to experience this with them, to experience a sense of invincibility and freedom from their troubles.
The final verse describes the singer looking at dreams from a distance, perhaps realizing that their previous dreams have burned to ashes. They are searching for something to be proud of, something that will give them a sense of purpose or accomplishment. The singer seems to believe that this feeling, this sense of belonging and freedom, is what will fulfill that need for them. They celebrate the opportunity to revive the gods inside themselves, to break the silence, and to continue this cycle of rebellion and freedom.
