I'm Sorry
Crown Of Thorns Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

All in all you needed me
You told me now
But I didn't know what to say
Told me what you felt for me
I left you cryin'
My head so far away
I know that you've had loneliness
But I'll make it up a hundred times a day

I'm sorry I
Put out the flame
Let you go when you were down
I'm sorry I'm
The one to blame
Should have known that you would drown

I confess to selfishness as time went on
When all that you would need
Is for me to fill your emptiness
But I was gone and I didn't feel you bleed

Well I'm guilty of this foolishness
But I'll make it up a hundred times a day

I'm sorry I
Put out the flame
Let you go when you were down
I'm sorry I'm
The one to blame
Should have known that you would drown

Repeat Chorus

Overall Meaning

In the song "I'm Sorry" by Crown of Thorns, the singer expresses sincere apologies to his partner for not being there when they needed him. The song begins with the acknowledgement of the fact that the singer's partner needed them desperately, yet they didn't know how to react when they were told about it. The singer is now remorseful for his inability to comprehend the gravity of the situation and for leaving his partner alone when they were in need of support. He admits to being selfish and insensitive towards his partner's feelings.

As the song progresses, the singer takes full responsibility for his mistakes and confesses to being foolish for not realizing the emptiness his partner was going through. He can now sense the pain and regret his partner must have felt in his absence, and is guilty of not taking any action to fill the void. The singer promises to make it up to his partner "a hundred times a day," acknowledging the magnitude of the wrong he has done.

In essence, "I'm Sorry" is a song of regret, remorse and self-realization, where the singer acknowledges the manner in which his own action or inaction caused pain to his partner. It is a powerfully emotive performance with a strong message about the need to be there for each other in relationships.

@52:02 technically yes its legal in MOST places, morally its absolutely wrong.

however i believe it DOES have its uses, specifically with keeping actual pedos "off the streets" if you catch my drift.

so yes while i don't agree with it, I understand that it HAS uses and can be used for good in the right hands.

honestly i'd rather study pedos and find out if its an actual illness or not, and keep them on house arrest forever if it is.

because if it is a mental illness then the loss of life from laws that allow killing these people or the stabbings of other criminals, just leaves a shitty taste in my mouth.

and if it isn't an illness then like why let them off easy by killing them?

Make them truly suffer keep them alive and working for the rest of their lives until they wish for death and then "don't give it to them" force them to keep going.

like death just brings about waste we need workers so force them to work under the watchful eye of the law.

do what ever it takes to make them feel worse then anybody else.

but that's just my opinion and i've been told "I'm WAY to harsh."

I was a fan of his before the Kane situation. I pointed out that he did indeed do the thing he said he didn't. I stopped watching after that.

I'm a near 33yo autistic individual who just happens to really enjoy the FNAF games and it's fan content. It just happens to scratch a particular part of my brain that brings joy. I don't have much physical content because I just buy digitally and have ebooks, and the only two physical merch items I have is a Roxy figure when they leaked them early and a SB shirt. So I guess I'm a long time casual who can listen to commentary and theories for hours on end, who likes the fan songs, the concepts, what it's evolved into and what it was.

Maybe it's because I grew up with Sonic the Hedgehog, so FNAF really reminds me of that, I guess. When I see kids and teens just posting up their collections and LPs and theories and songs and costumes... I just think it's great they have a community where they can express themselves without being ridiculed.

Which blows my mind when there's some crazy drama happening, because I just happened to see the Theft King meltdown happen live when I was running it in background when I was vacuuming my house. Absolutely stunned that someone my age would blow up like that, like, I sometimes get a little emotional but I also don't air my problems online and I certainly don't start throwing such harsh insults and threats at people like that.

I think the worst thing I've said online to someone recently was "I hope you get soggy fries with your next burger.", partly in jest.

Theft King has been given too many chances in comparison to other people across youtube who have been cancelled for less. He could have learned a thing or too from youtube drama past, but instead never changed and will get cancelled.
