There Will Be No Christmas

Sometimes I wish we never met
Sometimes I wish our love had never had a chance to start and
Sometimes I wish I had you back
I wish this love ended in Autumn, that way it'd float off with the breeze.
Instead this dark December, I'm all alone and colder than I've ever been.
And since you left
There will be no Christmas,
At least not for me. This year I'm all alone waiting for the spring.
There will be no Christmas no Santa no sleigh but I hope that you know,
That through it all I still wish you a happy holiday
I wish you a happy holiday (There will be no Christmas)
I wish you a happy holiday (There will be no Christmas)
I wish you a happy holiday (There will be no Christmas)
There will be no Christmas, at least not for me.
This year I'm all alone waiting for the spring.
There will be no Christmas no Santa no sleigh but I hope that you know,
That through it all I still wish you a happy holiday
In the song "There Will Be No Christmas" by Crown the Empire, the lyrics illustrate a heartbroken individual struggling with the aftermath of a failed relationship during what is supposed to be the festive holiday season. The first verse is introspective, with the singer expressing conflicting emotions about the relationship. They sometimes wish they had never met their partner, but at other times, they wish they could reconcile with them. The singer then laments the timing of their breakup, wishing that it had happened during the autumn when the weather is more suitable to grieving. However, their heartbreak occurred during the winter, leaving them feeling lonely and isolated.
The chorus is the emotional crux of the song, as the singer boldly declares that there will be no Christmas for them this year. They emphasize their loneliness and isolation, with no hope of a visit from Santa, his sleigh, or any holiday cheer. Despite this, the singer concludes by wishing their former love a happy holiday, demonstrating their strength and resilience.
"There Will Be No Christmas" is a relatable song that resonates with anyone who has experienced heartbreak during a celebratory season. Lyrics like these can provide solace, reminding the listener that there are others who have gone through similar difficulties and come out stronger on the other side.

Both of these guys sing and scream very well. I love how they trade off live and in their new stuff. But, I don't think Dave could support this whole band by himself. And honestly, Dave can sing, but Andy has a much more unique fit that gives them their creepy, circus type feel. Watch Andy not sing in a song and it won't sound like CTE.

Funny, 4 years later, dave left and their new sound is nothing like the old Crown. Even with Andy.
