King for a Day
Crush Lyrics
I'm fresh out of regret
Smoked my last cigarette
Down to the very end like it was the cure
My heads turned upside down
Smile like a party clown
Can't get this coffee down its quarter to four
I don't want to go on about it
But how the hell can I live without it
Ah for crying out loud
Every face in the crowd was looking at us
Sweet amazing grace, every time every space
Everything in its place
Like I was king for a day
Out through this window pane
There's no one left to blame
But then its all the same as long as she shows that
Face like a beauty queen
Straight from a magazine
Swear that she's always been the last to know that

Yeah, it's a pretty wicked song. I met them when they came to my town in Nova Scotia. Do you remember the band Wave, by any chance? I've found their two singles, and they're pretty damn rare I guess.

Yeah they are. One of the very last shows they ever played around here was in my town. I remember having strep throat and being told by my doctor to not leave the house what-so-ever. Instead, I walked downtown to see them play. Absolutely amazing job. There's no way I was missing it.
Nyx Kore
I use to love this song! Then my mom told me that Cory was my cousin, and made me love it even more!:)

Tetford and Lamb were Kings for a Day... I remember Tetford releasing some solo songs back in the late 1990's. He sings like a bird... I'd like to find those songs..

@Daniel Doucette They actually just sang this song tonight in Cape Breton with Corey obviously on lead. I completely forgot about this song, but as soon as it started I knew almost every word. Missed this song, and I'm glad I had the chance to hear it live.
