These days I don′t smoke much
I used to smoke, but I don't do it as often anymore.

You see I got a little caught up in the nose stuff
I became involved with something I shouldn't have been involved with.

But I don't do that anymore either
I no longer participate in that activity.

I′m happy to party and be satisfied with the no such
I don't need drugs to enjoy myself.

But I ain't judging your choices
I won't criticize your decisions.

Who am I to voice if I ain't picking your poison
I have no right to tell you what to do if I'm not doing the same thing.

I get it, I get it; you′ve gotta quiet the voices
I understand that sometimes you need to escape your thoughts.

Settle into the void before it gets too boisterous
Find a calm place before your mind becomes too chaotic.

Or maybe you don′t really medicate
Maybe you don't use drugs as a form of escape.

You just want to get away, I just want to set it straight
You want to escape reality, but I want to help you face it.

Please believe me, I have been afraid
I know what it's like to be scared.

And it's never easy, if your heart′s not brave
It's hard to face challenges when you lack courage.

But you're in good company now
