Ah man I remember doing a sick amount of drugs back in the day when this was newly released. Synthetic crank, quadruple dropping of psychedelics, synthetic ket, brown sugar mdma and isolating in the house for days at a time soft as a brush. Recovering addict in early recovery now and nearing 6 months clean time so pretty delighted with myself.

I think this song is about how the govournemt etc. is always saying how bad drugs are (for good reason) but still sell copious amounts of cigarets and alcohol which can be just as bad.
The song sounds so mysterious and I love it a lot

+Ste Ro It has a sort of wisdom to it, an old mother telling her son, a thought in all of us when we've gone too far and had too much or too often. As with any drug. Its not a song to preach how bad a drug is I don't think. Its crystal castles, its never 'just' about one thing. The vibe to the song is very surreal, I don't think the message is as straight edged as the lyrics suggest on paper
