Alex Moerman & Paul Gorbulski are a hardstyle duo from Israel. Their unique style is Hands Up – a mixture of Eurodance & Hard Dance, but always flavored with House, Trance, 80's, Rock or Electro elements. In studio, Alex contributes the beats and sound design. He Used to play the drums and therefore has a great ability in creating the right groove for Crystal Lake's tracks. Paul is in charge of the melodies and the lyrics. When Paul was a kid he used to play the violin, after training for 1 year he threw the violin against the wall and broke it! Guess that wasn't meant to be. After his unsuccessful violin experience Paul started taking piano lessons.
Crystal Lake was founded in Friday 13th 1999, since then Alex & Paul were busy breaking their own personal records, always aiming higher & higher towards their ultimate goal.

Crystal Lake Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
tonight.
farewell to my hopeless dream.
goodbye.
breathe the air of my broken dreams.
exhale this life of what i used to be.
filled with failure.
with will to surrender.
there is no time going through time motions.
as the skyline never sets the bar low.
cause impossible is possible.
this leap of faith out the window.
will start it all.
now i'm screaming.
it's the start of the end i scream.
tonight.
farewell to my hopeless dream.
goodbye.
reach the sky.
tonight.
i'll get it right.
it's alright.
get it right.
if there's no tomorrow.
the future will still not catch us.
we are the rising sun.
we start where we begin.
it starts with us.
there is no turning back.
it's the start of the end i scream.
tonight.
farewell to my hopeless dream.
goodbye.
reach the sky
tonight
i'll get it right
alright
The lyrics to Crystal Lake's song Mercury convey a sense of finality and closure, as the singer bids farewell to a "hopeless dream" and prepares to move forward with determination and purpose. The opening lines, "it's the start of the end i scream. tonight. farewell to my hopeless dream. goodbye," suggest that the singer has come to the realization that their past efforts have been fruitless, and that a new approach is needed in order to achieve their goals.
The second verse, with its references to "failure" and a "will to surrender," reinforces the idea that the singer has been struggling for some time, and that they have reached a breaking point. However, the lines "but now i know what i need" and "this leap of faith out the window. will start it all" suggest that the singer has found a renewed sense of purpose, and is ready to take bold action to change their life.
The song's chorus emphasizes the importance of moving forward without hesitation, with the lines "reach the sky. tonight. i'll get it right. it's alright. get it right." The final lines of the song, "if there's no tomorrow. the future will still not catch us. we are the rising sun. we start where we begin. it starts with us. there is no turning back," reinforce the idea that the singer is committed to moving forward, no matter what obstacles may arise.
