Curren$y had an underground hit in 2006, Where Da Cash At, which can be heard on several of Lil' Wayne's mixtapes, including Dedication 2. He was featured on Lil Wayne's song "Grown Man" from the album Tha Carter II. Due to certain issues concerning the release of his album Music 2 Fly 2, he left Young Money and formed his Fly Society crew with professional skateboarder and rapper Terry Kennedy.
He has since focused on his Jets movement, which helped introduce various rappers such as Trademark da Skydiver, Young Roddy, Fendi P and T.Y., as well as slightly reintroduce No Limit veteran Fiend to new audiences. He later started to work in New York with Ski Beatz and other MCs at Dame Dash's DD172; where he released Pilot Talk and its sequel Pilot Talk II both in 2010, and was also featured on several songs on Ski Beatz' 24 Hour Karate School. Since then, Curren$y has put out eight more albums, 25 EPs and 43 mixtapes.

Chillin like a villain, hope the popo don't ruin it
Chicks dig what I spit, tell me to keep doin it
Chicks whipped by the dick, want me to keep doin it
Can't get what I get, I cop kicks numerous
Limited editions, spitta shop for exclusiveness
Fuck fuckin with fuck boys and they fuckin foolishness
Got ya homies watchin ya back like a big booty bitch
Cause ya can't maneuver the mat without losin it
Jack boys screamin on ya, makin ya move ya shit

The band on my watch is ceramic
Bezzle got the same rocks that dropped the titanic
People talk about him, word of mouth is gigantic
Rappers gettin worried, they just startin to panic
Hope ya didn't blow ya advance, you better manage
The few cents you got left, cause that's ya last chips
Hot spitta no longer next, I am the present
Ya girl ask santa for me, cause I'm her present
Telescope on the balcony, watching the planets
Telephone ringin, I'm too high to answer it
Tell my homie bring me a pack of them ziz zags'
Gonna be a high time like the fuckin magazine
If ya song wack, I'll heal the cut, I'm bandaged
Cluckers say one time, and the dope boys vanished
Like the joint I'm smokin right now, after the last hit
I'm toasted like a quiznos sandwich
Spitta

In Curren$y's song "Airplane," the rapper discusses his lavish lifestyle as a boss and the fame that comes with it. He paints a vivid picture of his life with clever wordplay and metaphors, showing off his wealth with luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and expensive watches. Curren$y also touches on how his fame comes with danger, making sure to have his crew with him at all times. The title "Airplane" is a metaphor for the money and success he has acquired.
In the first verse, Curren$y starts off by telling listeners to skip the BS and get straight to the point. He mentions his Jordan sneakers and compares his hustle to pushing a grocery cart. As he chills with his crew, he explains how he's become famous for his music and how his sexual conquests are just as important to his image. He stresses the importance of exclusivity and not messing with "fuck boys" who are foolish. Curren$y also mentions the danger that comes with his lifestyle and how his crew has to watch his back.
In the second verse, Curren$y continues to brag about his wealth and fame. He describes his watch as being made of ceramic and boasts about the size of the diamonds on it. He mentions how other rappers are starting to worry about him and his success, and emphasizes the importance of managing one's finances. Curren$y switches gears to talk about smoking weed and how he's too high to answer his phone. He ends the song with a comparison to a toasted sandwich from Quiznos.
Overall, "Airplane" is a song about the rapper's rise to fame and the consequences that come with it. Curren$y shows off his wealth and status while also recognizing the danger and importance of having a loyal crew with him.

Assurance to be considered as a boss, as I can fix difficult situations with ease, even while hiding my true identity under a Louis V. scarf. People notice my wealth, exceptional style, fame, and the company I keep is too dangerous for them.

I disregard irrelevant things and focus on important matters such as fashion and hustling. I am with Young Roddy and we are chilling, hoping cops don't stumble upon us. Girls support my music and desire me sexually. I can afford any kicks I want and prefer limited editions. I don't associate with foolish people and have my friends watch my back. It's hard to avoid danger, but I have become skilled in this aspect. I manage to stay out of trouble and avoid people who want to steal my money or belongings, as I am alert and have access to weapons.

Ughhhh
Repetition of the sound effect of an airplane taking off, perhaps indicating that I am leaving or moving on. I also refer to myself as Spitta, followed by 'ughhh', a vocal signature of mine.
The band on my watch is ceramic

Spitta
My watch is made of ceramic and the diamond bezel is extravagant. People praise me heavily, and it affects other rappers who worry and start to panic about their success. I advise being careful with their limited money. I am no longer the 'next big thing' but the best in the game. Women desire me very much, like a Christmas present. I own a telescope and enjoy watching planets. Sometimes, I'm too high to answer the phone, but I ask my friends to bring me some cigarettes. I frequently smoke marijuana and have high times like a magazine. I can fix wack music and bring it to a higher level. Cluckers and dope boys leave when they see me, and I become heavily intoxicated, like a Toasted Quizno sandwich.
When you think of boss niggas think of me
Cause if there's a stressin ain't no question at his side (spitta)
Altough I conceal my identity
Beneath the Louie V. scarf, niggas only see my eyes
They know that nigga stuntin
He be gettin money
They know that nigga ballin
The hoes he off fuckin
They know that nigga famous
They know that nigga blingin

Ughhhh
Reiteration of the fact that I am the boss and the go-to person during a crisis. Even though I hide my identity, I attract a lot of attention because of my wealth, fame, and extravagant style. I am known for my ability to make money and attract women. My company is intimidating and unsafe for others.
