Curren$y had an underground hit in 2006, Where Da Cash At, which can be heard on several of Lil' Wayne's mixtapes, including Dedication 2. He was featured on Lil Wayne's song "Grown Man" from the album Tha Carter II. Due to certain issues concerning the release of his album Music 2 Fly 2, he left Young Money and formed his Fly Society crew with professional skateboarder and rapper Terry Kennedy.
He has since focused on his Jets movement, which helped introduce various rappers such as Trademark da Skydiver, Young Roddy, Fendi P and T.Y., as well as slightly reintroduce No Limit veteran Fiend to new audiences. He later started to work in New York with Ski Beatz and other MCs at Dame Dash's DD172; where he released Pilot Talk and its sequel Pilot Talk II both in 2010, and was also featured on several songs on Ski Beatz' 24 Hour Karate School. Since then, Curren$y has put out eight more albums, 25 EPs and 43 mixtapes.

Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
On my neck, a chandelier
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
I be sippin' on this lean, not no beer though
I don't fuck around with niggas, cus they weirdos
All these bitches steady talking, I don't hear hoes
How you say you sippin' muddy, cup be clear though
Bitch I'm really balling, we fucking if you calling
I ain't with the stalling, ain't go see you in the morning
These bitches steady fraudulent, my niggas steady balling
We shouldn't have fought the squad
But choppas solving any problems, bitch
Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
On my neck, a chandelier
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
On my neck, a chandelier
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
All my diamonds wet, pinky ring cost a vet
East side that's the set, money makers on deck
High'd up, I'm a Jet, wasn't even tryna flex
But my watch lit, bracelet flick, special effect
But, that's all facts though, hunnit racks worth of gold
Bitch it's just dope, grind up, get some more
It ain't hard to tell her park the Wraith in front of the corner store
Bought some chips and Powerade, I bought my bitch a front row
Scratched off like my tires itching, I'm that nigga
Hella rappers corny, I don't do no songs with 'em
Dressing like Superman villains, I don't fuck with 'em
Money to the ceiling, dressed like a million
Big money in the building, women acting like children
Tryna give the boss niggas thoughts and competition
East side like all times
Andretti Shoreline
Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
On my neck, a chandelier
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
On my neck, a chandelier
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
Balenciaga and the Prada
I wear Pro Clubs, you niggas wearing Shaka
I got diamonds and they wetter than some water
Bitch I'm Fanta, you lil' niggas Shasta
My nigga fresh out, shout out my nigga Foster
I'm at Nova, yeah, my nigga, Bossa
And he tried to plot on me, but I caught ya
So I need both your hands, I'mma chop 'em
I got carrots, in my mouth
Fuck your hoe, on my couch
Purple drank, from the South
On the West side, it's never been a drought
I get Quali, I get Tec, I get Wok
I get bitches, I get hoes, I get thots
I get money, I get cash, I get guap
I spend money, hella money, yeah a lot
Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
On my neck, a chandelier
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
Diamond wet, diamond clear
On my wrist, on my ear
On my neck, a chandelier
I sip lean, I don't really do no beer
The lyrics to Curren$y's song "Chandelier" are about his wealth and opulence. He mentions his expensive diamond jewelry, including a chandelier necklace, and his preference for sipping lean, a powerful prescription cough syrup that is often mixed with soda or other drinks. The lyrics also touch on his dislike for fake friends and fraudulent women. He asserts his success and status, claiming to be "really balling" and "dressed like a million." He also mentions his affiliation with the East side and his disdain for "corny" rappers who don't measure up to his standards.
Through this song, Curren$y portrays himself as a wealthy and successful individual who is not afraid to flaunt his riches. His reference to his jewelry as a chandelier hints towards the idea of an opulent and lavish lifestyle. He also highlights his preference for sipping lean over beer, a common preference among many rappers.
Overall, the song is a boastful display of wealth and status, common themes in rap music. The somewhat aggressive tone of the lyrics indicates a certain level of frustration with those who do not appreciate his success or try to bring him down.
