Curren$y had an underground hit in 2006, Where Da Cash At, which can be heard on several of Lil' Wayne's mixtapes, including Dedication 2. He was featured on Lil Wayne's song "Grown Man" from the album Tha Carter II. Due to certain issues concerning the release of his album Music 2 Fly 2, he left Young Money and formed his Fly Society crew with professional skateboarder and rapper Terry Kennedy.
He has since focused on his Jets movement, which helped introduce various rappers such as Trademark da Skydiver, Young Roddy, Fendi P and T.Y., as well as slightly reintroduce No Limit veteran Fiend to new audiences. He later started to work in New York with Ski Beatz and other MCs at Dame Dash's DD172; where he released Pilot Talk and its sequel Pilot Talk II both in 2010, and was also featured on several songs on Ski Beatz' 24 Hour Karate School. Since then, Curren$y has put out eight more albums, 25 EPs and 43 mixtapes.

Everywhere I Go
Curren$y Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Because I flow so tightly, my wrist wear glow so brightly
But I ain't gonna quit, niggas know I go hard
And a dog don't settle for shit
You might see me on the block, but if I see the police
I break out, cause I'm allergic to the cops
I just put up a 7-20's on the drop, I'm fin to take a vacation
With a couple of honies on the yacht
Y'all niggas is going double plastic
Shit'll get tragic, if one of you fools
Choose to make me use my automatic
Click-clack-blow, Curren$y the Hot Spitter
Here to show you niggas how I get down
Doing donuts in a Viper, and I probably won't quit
Till I burn all the grip off my tires
Now everywhere I go, they ask what I live for
Money, hoes and clothes all a nigga know
And when I get my chips, you know what I'm a go and get
A house and kicks, and a couple of whips
Now everywhere I go, they ask what I live for
Money, hoes and clothes all a nigga know
And when I get my chips, you know what I'm a go and get
A house and kicks, and a couple of whips
Now when I pull up, niggas running like Trans cars
That'll buck backwards, in a black Jaguar
You niggas is actors, Hot Spitter the truth
Set a fire to the mic, when I step in the booth
None other than me, around town
In the yellow Humvee, gun under my seat
You don't want none of me, cause I'm the man
You can't spit, like you lost just a life or grand
Man, why you niggas want to rhyme like me
When I leave, watch the women run behind my jeep
Now peep me, stay smooth and calm
White Air Force 1's, white tux when I went to the prom
100,000 dollar watch on my arm, everytime I step in the club
All the women watching my arm
The Hot Spitter, and I don't give a fuck what you think
I got more ice than a super-size drink, holla back nigga
Now everywhere I go, they ask what I live for
Money, hoes and clothes all a nigga know
And when I get my chips, you know what I'm a go and get
A house and kicks, and a couple of whips
Now everywhere I go, they ask what I live for
Money, hoes and clothes all a nigga know
And when I get my chips, you know what I'm a go and get
A house and kicks, and a couple of whips
Curren$y, Hot Spitter ya dig
Another Beat Boy thing uh ha-ha
Woo, Ezell Swang baby, S dot Bear
Uh putting it down, ha-ha
In Curren$y's song Everywhere I Go, he addresses the criticism he receives for his success as a rapper. He acknowledges that some people may not like him because he is skilled and has a lot of money, but he asserts that he is not going to quit rapping and settle for less. He is proud of his hard work and success and will not let anyone bring him down. Curren$y also references his ability to evade the police, as he has a fear of them due to past experiences. He boasts about his car and plans to take a vacation with some women on his yacht.
Throughout the song, the chorus repeats the phrase, "Money, hoes and clothes all a nigga know," which emphasizes the stereotypical rapper lifestyle that Curren$y is living. He wants to enjoy his success by buying luxurious items such as a house, cars, and expensive shoes, and he does not apologize for that. He is aware that some people may not approve of this lifestyle but does not care about their opinions.
One interesting fact about this song is that it is from Curren$y's sixth album, Pilot Talk, which was released in 2010. The album was met with positive reviews and helped establish Curren$y as a successful rapper. Another interesting fact is that the beat for Everywhere I Go was produced by Ski Beatz, who also produced many other tracks on Pilot Talk. The song has been used in popular video games such as NBA 2K11 and Forza Horizon 4.
