Flight Attendant
Curren$y Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Uh young Money Cash Money
Fly Society curren$y the Hot Spitta
What up Cannon! Yup, right, that's right

Sitting in the first class cabin
Of the airplane with my iPod blasting
The captain instructs us to
Prepare for landing
Flight attendant walks up politely asking me
To cut off the music and raise my seat
To the upright position where
It's 'sposed to be
To make sure I don't receive any injuries
When the wheels touched down
The tire screeched
Then she looked at my face and
Said "Naw it can't be"
"Haven't I seen you on TV?"
"Or heard you in music with Weezy Wee?"
I said yes you did, baby I'm that kid
Got an arc shaped driveway at my crib
'Cause when it comes to the whips
I got more than six
Flying one after another like look at my shit
But now I better quit
'cause that's not important
You working on this plane
What you doing when you get off it
'Cause now you in New Orleans where
You are just a tourist
I'll bring you through my city and
I promise you'll enjoy it

Yeah, yeah that's that Spitta shit

You know fly Society
Tell them niggas don't bother me

Overall Meaning

In the opening lines of the track ‘Flight Attendant’ by Curren$y, we see him introduce himself as a part of the Fly Society and Young Money Cash Money crew. The song then goes on to describe his experience sitting in a first-class cabin and listening to music on his iPod. As the plane starts to prepare for landing, the flight attendant walks up to him and politely asks him to switch off his music and raise his seat to the upright position. He complies with her request understanding that it is for his safety during the landing of the plane.

The lyrics also reveal that the flight attendant recognizes him as a celebrity whom she has seen on TV or heard in music with Lil Wayne. He confirms to her that he is indeed the person she recognized and goes on to talk about his affluent lifestyle, with his arc-shaped driveway and more than six cars. However, he quickly changes the topic and asks the flight attendant about her plans after getting off from the flight. He then promises to show her around New Orleans as he is from the same city and is sure she will enjoy the experience.

In essence, the lyrics of ‘Flight Attendant’ describe a luxurious lifestyle of a famous personality and depict the importance of staying humble, respectful, and grounded, even in the face of success and affluence.
