Curren$y had an underground hit in 2006, Where Da Cash At, which can be heard on several of Lil' Wayne's mixtapes, including Dedication 2. He was featured on Lil Wayne's song "Grown Man" from the album Tha Carter II. Due to certain issues concerning the release of his album Music 2 Fly 2, he left Young Money and formed his Fly Society crew with professional skateboarder and rapper Terry Kennedy.
He has since focused on his Jets movement, which helped introduce various rappers such as Trademark da Skydiver, Young Roddy, Fendi P and T.Y., as well as slightly reintroduce No Limit veteran Fiend to new audiences. He later started to work in New York with Ski Beatz and other MCs at Dame Dash's DD172; where he released Pilot Talk and its sequel Pilot Talk II both in 2010, and was also featured on several songs on Ski Beatz' 24 Hour Karate School. Since then, Curren$y has put out eight more albums, 25 EPs and 43 mixtapes.

Still
Curren$y Lyrics

Blueprinting these criminal plans
So simple in the right hands
Should it go cool as a fan
Long as we keep it in the fam
Grinding with outsiders will only divide us
Providers with more problems
Cops wanna see me locked in, bars
My rollie heavy, my shirt light
Let me roll back my sleeves, let my diamonds breathe
Serenade the night
Sung that bitch to sleep
Woke up next to me
And figured she was still up in them dreams
Dirty money, keep them whips clean
Coupes for the whole team
Yellow paper, legal pad
Blueprinting these criminal plans
So simple in the right hands
Should it go cool as a fan
Long as we keep it in the fam
Grinding with outsiders will only divide us
Providers with more problems
Cops wanna see me locked in, bars
Concrete but only palm trees surround me
My rollie heavy, my shirt light
Let me roll back my sleeves, let my diamonds breathe
Serenade the night
Sung that bitch to sleep
Woke up next to me
And figured she was still up in them dreams
Dirty money, keep them whips clean
Coupes for the whole team
Lyrics is on a triple beam
Another tape, another key
A frozen eskimo ain't cold as me
Nigga, come to me
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
In the city of Saints, stunners and gun clappers
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
In the city of Saints, stunners and gun clappers
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
Still in traffic, sports cars doing magic
My doors open backwards
My homegirl an actress
Silver screen bad bitch
She brought her homegirls through
We call that batting practice
I'm in the matte black six
100 Benz mashing
Interior filled with gases
And bitch, I'm never passing
Music is the crankest
Moving like them (?)
I put two in
You best believe I'm bringing four
Bag bitch huh
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
In the city of Saints, stunners and gun clappers
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
They mad, they just lookin' at us, stackin'
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
In the city of Saints, stunners and gun clappers
Still at it, Jet Set mathematics
Gettin' money, you just lookin' at us
While we stackin'
Can't even mask your madness
can't even hide your sadness
The lyrics of "Still" by Curren$y Trademark and Young Roddy focuses largely on their lifestyle as a successful rapper, and the challenges they have to face in their pursuit of success. The first verse of the song has Curren$y highlighting the envy and jealousy of his haters and explaining that he is too busy at home enjoying the fruits of his labor. He also mentions the potency of the weed he is smoking, which is so strong that it makes it hard for him to function properly. In the second verse, Young Roddy talks about his unique life experiences, like being part of a different species, and his unique perspective on the world. He also mentions the lifestyle that he and Curren$y lead where they are surrounded by luxury cars, women, and money.
Throughout the song, Curren$y and Young Roddy reflect on the difficulties they face in their industry, including people trying to bring them down, and the constant hard work it takes to live up to their own expectations. However, they realize that it is all worth it and that the pursuit of their dreams will lead to a better life.
