The pair met at high school, where Matt was in a heavy metal band, and Jon collecting Drum and Bass records. They began making music using simple sequencing software on an old PC. The duo joined Hospital Records in summer 2002, when High Contrast tipped off Colman and Goss about Cyantific's award winning tracks and performance. With a collection of 12"s, remixes and compilation appearances, Cyantific has gathered a substantial underground fanbase. Popular tracks that have helped Cyantific's breakthrough into the drum and bass scene feature the fast soul classic with Diane Charlemagne, Don't Follow, and the hard hitting Output.
In 2006, after numerous singles they released their debut album "Ghetto Blaster" and went onto win the BBC 1Xtra Best Newcomer DJ award in 2007. Releases followed on legendary labels like Critical and Ram.
In December 2014, Cyantific signed exclusively with Viper Recordings, and made his debut with ‘Bring You Love’, followed by his #1 single ‘High Water Mark’, alongside his remix of Brookes Brothers – ‘Anthem’ which was selected on BBC 1Xtra’s “A” playlist.
In 2021 Jon made a post on his Bandcamp Subscription page stating that he wont be producing anymore. Since then, no more posts have been made and no more music has been released.

So much energy on this on. Loved it. Like the chopping vocal.

I love it that in my late teens this tune and many drum n bass "oldies" like this were what was hot. Fast forward 20 years later and these haven't aged a bit but get have many many many memories. I know there is a lot of others feeling the exact same :)

Yep, these tunes were totally original when they came out, it was refreshing even though techstep and hardstep was not as popular as it was in the late 90's. I remember even being at a party and Bad Company were playing soulful tunes around this time, early 2k.

This, and 90 are a couple of my favorites they did. Not many remember 90, not many tunes sounded like these back then when they came out, such a dope style. I think this one was on the Billon Dollar Gravy LP, or the EP, can't remember. Gonna dig it out :).
