In 1995, Jean Michel, Nono and Christian left their previous band, Seventeen. The 3 guys had already noticed Declan singing in pubs in Cork and were impressed, but the band didn’t get together then. The O’Shea brothers went to work in Euro Disney in France, but luckily on one of their home journeys the lads finally got together. Cyclefly was formed. At first the band was called Dogabone, and they released a EP in 1995 under this name. It was in 1997 that they changed their name to Cyclefly after being inspired by one of Declan’s paintings.
In 1999, Cyclefly released their debut album, Generation Sap and made their live debut at Whiskey on the Sunset Strip. In 2002 their second album, Crave, was released.
Christian and Declan Set up "Mako." and released their debut album "Living on Air" in 2010

No Stress
Cyclefly Lyrics

You're making me crazy.
I can't hide my frustration, I don't like generation.
We don't need your imitations, somebody save me.
We're out of control, digging a hole,
It's making my head spin, just let it sink in,
There's no stress, no stress.
I could've be pushing daises.
I can't hide my frustration, I don't like generation.
We don't need your expectations, somebody save me.
We're out of control, digging a hole,
It's making my head spin, just let it sink in,
There's no stress, no stress, no stress.
We're out if control, digging a hole,
It's making my head spin, just let it sink in.
There's no stress, no stress, no stress.
You've always amazed me,
You're making me crazy, crazy.
We're out of control,
It's making my head spin, just let it sink in,
there's no stress, no stress, no stress.
I'm out of control, digging a hole,
It's making my head spin, just let it sink in,
I'm out of control, digging a hole.
It's making my head spin, it's making my head spin,
We're out of control, digging a hole.
It's making my head spin, it's making my head spin,
I'm out of control, I'm out of control, I'm out of control.
The song "No Stress" by Cyclefly is a commentary on the frustrations and anxieties of modern life. The singer in the song is overwhelmed by the pressures and expectations of their generation, which they feel are shallow and imitative. They yearn for someone to save them from this world of stress and anxiety. This feeling of being out of control and digging a hole is likened to a state of madness, as the singer feels themselves losing their grip on reality.
The repetition of the phrase "no stress" throughout the song is both a mantra and a paradox. On one hand, the singer is attempting to convince themselves that they can find a way to live without stress or worry. On the other hand, the repetition of the phrase emphasizes just how impossible that goal is. The very act of trying to live without stress is itself a source of stress. The singer's sense of desperation is captured in the repetition of the lines "I'm out of control, digging a hole, it's making my head spin".
Overall, "No Stress" is a powerful meditation on the pressures and anxieties of modern life, and the difficulty of finding peace in a world that seems determined to drive us all insane.

I can't explain how much I miss this band, they shoulda been a stadium rock band, please get the red hair dye out and make a comeback. Declan always looked like he was from another world like a mix of hide (from Zilch), Scott Weiland and Bowie. also thinking of hide if you ever do make a comeback you should cover 'Electric Cucumber' I always thought it sounded like a Cyclefly song. PLEASE COMEBACK CYCLEFLY !!!!!!!
