Haze
Cyne Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

ayo ayo
well guess who's taken over this
just like supreme soviet
is down by lord's gover
fit up all the fist
brown skinned man
I smoke reefer plants
And still making plans
while they make the band
i spit venom
the quinessential
mic phantom
the rhyme villain
wanted for dealing truth, a felon and
this new world up
we like to call home
of the brave and free
and the unknown rome
with host of future
black moguls
blue collar whites
with the mic to fight vultures
that's utopia
I'm getting over ya
hand gets the lead hit hard
when I hold it to the paper write a song
so you can all sing along
fuck that
I ring alarms
to your schools
it's bombs over baghdad in iraq;
Kuwait at the same time
I'm sick of your lame rhymes
ya'll pray when it's game time

Surviving the storm
A go-bot with multiple forms
psychodelic with the relic
stargate to beyond
2001 space odyssey in the sun
like Tron
Im in the game
so deep in the blood
following hope
pushin over stumbling blocks
Im holding on to the little bit of love that I've got
for my peoples in the city
that be holdin' they own
to my peoples in the country
that be building their homes
to my fathers
that be paying child support to their kids
to my dialin' out brothers
in the jail doin bids
keep your head up
heart strong
with fists in the air
keep your weight up
for Cise Star
we taking it there
so breath

We're gonna kill it with the spirit of change
I be the only brother fanning the flames

Move it to this
movement; do it
make your daddy proud
now we speak into
shit too deep
we stack up a crowd
ayo
they go

I see people
how they want to be seen
just an another human being
tryin to makin a dream
it's the little things
that mean so much in this life
So I'ma treat you like a brother
fuck a wicked device
be the more better blues
when you are good and you lose
be the black man surviving
paying my dues
being ridiculous wickedness
I'm seeing on news
It makes a predicament
hit or miss so what do we do
cultivate your new experience
open your arms
embrace everything that's around you
cause you're living with god
holding on
holding strong
cause we're living it now
keep it on
hope is ours
cause love is found
for real
speak easy to the gravel on streets
asphalt molded the beat
Imminent in the heat

be many many tears casue the growin is harsh
striving in the city of god

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to CYNE's song Haze reflects on the complexities of living in a multicultural society where different races, classes, and cultures coexist. The first verse starts with a reference to the Supreme Soviet - the highest legislative body in the Soviet Union - to paint a picture of control and power. The rapper then reflects on his brown skin, smoking marijuana, and making plans while others make money. He calls out the vultures or the oppressors and their lame rhymes that aim to maintain the status quo. CYNE paints a picture of utopia, the elusive place where everyone lives together in harmony, and revolutions are fought with microphones instead of guns. The second verse speaks to the struggle of the human experience. In a world where people are often reduced to their skin color, CYNE sees beyond that and reflects on the "little things that mean so much in life."

The chorus emphasizes that change is possible and calls on the listener to rise to the challenge. The rap verses reflect on the struggle of the human experience in a multicultural society, whereas the chorus encourages and inspires listeners to work for change. CYNE wants people to see beyond their differences and embrace what is around them.
