Ending
D[1].N.Angel Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You said you wouldn't go away
That was just this May
Now you are gone and I'm left in disarray
I can't say I'm shocked
I can't say I'm not surprised
I just wanna know how we grew a part
Oooooh
How we grew to become such strangers
Not even next door neighbors
Just another random human to one another
And here I am trying to find the meaning of our failure
An ending not made for public consumption
An ending not made for the movies
An ending not made for a best seller
An ending not made for each other
Our past ain't never been pretty
But at least you were with me
Nothing really mattered at the time
But that seems to have changed cause
You're not mine anymore
It's hurting knowing that we
Can't go back to how it was
So here's to us
And here's to this soliloquy from me
Just know I'm not bitter
You know I'm not a straight shooter
but here's to us and our tragedy
A tragic ending
An ending not made for public consumption
An ending not made for the movies
An ending not made for a best seller
An ending not made for each other
I know this hurts more than
These words could ever convey
Yet here we are
Gone
Non-existent
But I hope someday we'll find some peace
We'll find a reverie
That we can stay in and play in and love in
A dream where no peek of reality can seep in
Can't puncture this beautiful land that we're in
I've created this world with my mind
An ending not made for public consumption
An ending not made for the movies

An ending not made for a best seller
An ending not made for each other

Overall Meaning

The song "Ending" by D[1].N.Angel is about a breakup and the aftermath of it. In the first verse, the singer expresses confusion about how they grew apart and became strangers. They reflect on the fact that even though their past might not have been pretty, at least they were together. The chorus repeats the idea that their ending was not meant for public consumption, movies, bestsellers or each other. The second verse shows the singer coming to terms with the reality of the situation, acknowledging that they can't go back to how things were. They express hope that someday they'll find peace and be able to create a dreamworld where they don't have to face the harsh reality of their separation.

Overall, the lyrics are very poignant and relatable. Many people have been through breakups and can relate to the feelings of confusion, hurt, and hope for the future. The song stands out for its honesty and raw emotion, as well as its use of poetic language to convey complex emotions.

2019 and still listening to this. Nostalgic. I remember my highschool days, way back 2007 to 2008 i guess, that was the time I started to watch this anime. Now that I’m an adult, I can’t believe how the time now flies so fast. This will be kept in my memory, forever. 😌

I think this anime deserves a Remake..... They remade fruits basket and it was beautiful.

Malikai The Hokage

Idk if I want a reboot tbh, especially since Funimation fucked up Vic Mignogna's life

My concern is that the manga isn't over yet. Still waiting for the years hiatus to be over. If they did a remake, I hope they would follow the manga truthfully. I prefer Dark's story with Riku in the manga compared to the anime which butchered it.

But nonetheless, I agree completely. Imagine how beautiful those wings would look and the characters. This is an easy winner.

Edit:
I just read that they finally released the last chapter last month! I had been trying to keep up with the hype of it returning the whole last year and gave up. So now, the anime remake needs to commence. XD
