'Isolation' was re-recorded for entry into neworderonline's 'Community 2' competition.
Most of the tracks are works-in-progress - those uploaded here are the most finished so far & even then 'Use Me' is limited by using only the guide vocal.
NEW track uploaded 3-Dec-08 - http://www.last.fm/music/D-plus/_/Shoot+Through+The+Space It's free to listen like the previous 3 uploaded. It's an instrumental I did back in 2004 which I only finished off this week - as a break from trying to come up with new stuff!
I've finally started working on a few NEW tracks - still early stages yet, working titles so far include:
"All Over Again" (is instrumental at the moment, but I have a few lyric ideas)
"Reflect On Me" (will probably be a 'Slits' track)
"Face Down" (about drink)
Plan is to do some rough drafts & post these here in the autumn - all if I can find the time!
(Didn't get the time so new plan now is to try to record these over the holidays.)
Isolation
D-plus Lyrics

Of the day
And I swear I'm never gonna change
My ways
I've lost track of everything I've
Ever
It's not a crime to take my time
And Lie
It's these stones I cast
All is not lost
I'm still hanging on
Staying up is the hardest part
Of my life
But I swear I'm never gonna change
Your mind
Thinking of what once was
Is not a crime, I'll my time
And I-
It's not your fault
It's these stones I cast
All is not lost
I'm still hanging on
The lyrics of D-plus's song "Isolation" depict a sense of struggle and resistance to change. The singer expresses a difficulty in waking up each day, emphasizing that it is the hardest part. Despite this, they claim that they will never change their ways. This could suggest a certain level of stubbornness or a reluctance to adapt to new circumstances.
The lyrics also touch upon feeling lost and disconnected from their past, as they have lost track of everything they have ever known. The line "It's not a crime to take my time and lie" suggests that they might be indulging in self-deception or avoiding facing certain truths. The singer also places the blame for their struggles on themselves, stating that it is not the fault of others but rather the result of the metaphorical stones they cast, possibly alluding to the consequences of their own actions.
Despite the challenges and feelings of isolation, the singer affirms that all is not lost and that they are still hanging on. This could imply a sense of resilience and determination in the face of adversity, despite the difficulties they experience from staying up late at night. The lyrics suggest that the singer is determined to hold onto their beliefs and mentality, even if it means going against the expectations or desires of others.
Overall, "Isolation" portrays a battle against change and a personal struggle to maintain one's identity and beliefs amidst feelings of disconnection and lost time.
