Tech Your Time
D.Core Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Before you say my name
Let me know
Is this worth fighting for
Before you let me go
And gather space
Can you leave a place for me
Look it's fine
Take your time
Cause the time of your life will be here
Waiting for you
Let me know (I'll Let you Know)
We'll take it slow
Cause the time of your life will be here
Waiting
Waiting for

You…
(Just take your Time)...

Overall Meaning

The song "Tech Your Time" by D.Core explores the theme of patience and taking one's time in a relationship. The lyrics suggest that before committing to a fight or letting go of someone, it's important to pause and reflect on whether the situation is truly worth it. The opening lines, "Before you say my name, let me know, is this worth fighting for," hint at a moment of hesitation and a desire for clarity. The singer is urging their partner to consider leaving a place for them in their life, to ensure there is room for their presence.

The chorus emphasizes the idea of taking things slowly and allowing the time of one's life to present itself. The line, "Look it's fine, take your time," suggests that rushing into decisions or actions may not be beneficial. Instead, the singer encourages the listener to be patient and allow the moments to unfold naturally. The repetition of "waiting for you" highlights the anticipation of a positive outcome if the other person takes their time to truly understand and appreciate the value of the relationship.

Overall, "Tech Your Time" serves as a reminder to approach relationships with patience and a willingness to give them the time they need to develop and thrive. It emphasizes the importance of thoughtful consideration before making any significant decisions.

This is really useful and cheer me up. Thank you for making this because I'm in a process of deciding to study it.

Hi Jessica, congratulations on your completion. I have two queries, which format did you go for, the credit or the non-credit one? And which of the two would you suggest for someone with no MBA aspirations but with entrepreneurship in mind in the future?

Johannes Simmonds

@Jess Builds Tech great video and analysis! did the " credit" version of CORE, come with a permanent Harvard email, or any alumni benefit, besides the "8" credits?

Jess Builds Tech

Thanks for asking! I went for the accredited version as I hope to convert the 'points' into further study at a later date, but if you're interested in startups perhaps the non-credit version is fine (as the course content is the same!).

Constantinos Doucas

Hey, thanks for this short and informative video! As I am also interested in doing a CIM marketing diploma, could you specify whether you'd rather do CORe before or after the marketing qualification? Thanks again.

Jess Builds Tech

Thanks for asking! I completed my MSc in Marketing before HBS CORe. If I were to approach these again, I would follow a similar path. Hope that helps! :)
