Kym has not communicated with God for some time, but he is aware of it.

Kym is asking God for forgiveness or mercy for his past mistakes.

I pray that one day we can be friends again
Kym hopes to re-establish a personal relationship between himself and God.

In my life I've done a lot of wrong
Kym admits to making many mistakes during his life.

Smoking on some gas, coughing up my lungs
Kym refers to his current substance use that has negatively impacted his health.

Remember late at night, I'm sneaking out my home and came back to the crib before the crack of dawn
Kym recalls his past behavior of secretly leaving his house late at night, but returning early in the morning to avoid getting caught.

Remember when I contemplated suicide
Kym acknowledges having thoughts of taking his own life in the past.

Broken heart with no friends, they weren't down to ride
Kym had no one to rely on during a difficult period in his life, including those who he thought were friends.

Didn't want to tell nobody, I kept it all inside
Kym chose to keep his personal struggles to himself instead of reaching out for help.

I wore my heart on my sleeve, I hated my life
Kym was emotionally vulnerable and honest about his negative feelings towards his own life.

Then God told me to run away and not look back cuz you can't ask for something new and still live in the past
God inspired Kym to forget about his past and move forward in life in order to create a better future for himself.

You've got to be willing to walk down this path regardless the mistakes that you've made in the past
Kym is encouraging himself (and others) to keep moving forward and not let past mistakes deter them from their journey.

You can't live your life for you, you're living for me
Kym is coming to the realization that his life is not only about himself, but also about serving God.

You can't live your life for the streets, you're living for me
Kym acknowledges that living a life for the streets (street culture) is not living for God.

And if you pour your heart on this beat, you do it for me
Kym believes that by putting his emotions and experiences into his music (beat), he is doing it to glorify God.

And if you share your love in the world, you do it for me
Kym believes that by spreading positivity and love throughout the world, he is doing it to please God.

Thank you for making my crooked path straight in rough place smooth
Kym is thanking God for straightening out his troubled life and making it easier.

I hope when I die all of eternity I'm with you
Kym hopes to be with God after death for all of eternity.

Kym is thanking God for taking the time to listen to his thoughts and emotions.

Kym hopes to have more communication with God in the near future.

Kym is grateful for God's ability to alleviate his emotional and physical suffering.

Don't want to be caught up in this life, I want to stay in your lane
Kym doesn't want to be consumed by the negative aspects of life and would rather focus on God's path/reality.

Kym feels compelled to share something else before ending the conversation with God.

I'm breaking up with this world, we don't feel the same
Kym is making a definitive decision to separate himself from the negative elements of the world and instead, focus on God's path.
