Οι D.F ξεκίνησαν το 2006. Δημιουργούν hip hop μουσική με ενισχυμένο το στοιχείο της reggae, της jazz και της funk.
Το καλοκαίρι του 2008 κυκλοφόρησε το πρώτο τους single με τίτλο D.F, και το καλοκαίρι του 2009 ο πρώτος τους δίσκος με τίτλο London Sessions, όπου συμμετέχουν η Ελένη Δήμου και οι Μάρκος Κούμαρης και Σπύρος Βεσδέκης των Locomondo. Συμμετείχε επίσης η πρωτοεμφανιζόμενη τραγουδίστρια Ίρις ώπου από τότε είναι και μέλος του συγκροτήματος. Έναν χρόνο μετά, και ύστερα από διάφορα live shows σε Ελλάδα και Βρυξέλλες καθώς και πολλαπλές εμφανίσεις με την παράσταση "Don't Worry Be Happy" του Doji Cobolloco με την Ελένη Δήμου, τον Γιάννη Γιοκαρίνη, τον Γιώργο Γκικοδήμα και τον Παναγιώτη Τσακαλάκο σε μουσικές σκηνές όπως το Κύτταρο και ο Ρυθμός Stage, κυκλοφορούν το δεύτερό τους album με τίτλο DιFραγκο. Πρόκειται για μια δισκογραφική δουλειά στην οποία συμμετέχει και πάλι η Ελένη Δήμου σε ένα κομμάτι, αλλά και ο Γιάννης Γιοκαρίνης, ο Ζodiac και ο Σπύρος Μπεσδέκης των Locomondo ο οποίος γεμίζει με τον ήχο του μπάσου του κάποια τραγούδια τους. Πολλοί άλλοι μουσικοί πρόσθεσαν το ταλέντο τους ώστε αυτή η δουλειά των δύο αδελφών και του παραγωγού τους, Άκη Γκολφίδη, να είναι μουσικά πιο εμπλουτισμένη και πιο ολοκληρώμενη.

The lyrics of D.F.'s song La Vie speak to the disillusionment and apathy that can come with life's disappointments and setbacks. The song begins by acknowledging that there are some things we consider and others we never do. It goes on to describe the various ways people try to improve their lives, from distancing themselves from poverty to ceasing to pity themselves, but ultimately concludes that we should all just calm down and stop praying for a solution.
The second verse describes the frustrations of dealing with bureaucracy and the absurdity of certain politicians. While acknowledging the existence of difficulties and foolishness in the world, D.F. also notes that there are people who have successfully overcome them. The chorus of "Merci la vie" ("Thank you life") could be seen two ways: either as a sincere expression of gratitude for the joys and triumphs of life, or as a sarcastic acknowledgment that despite everything, we are still here.
