D.H. Lawrence Lyrics

Let me tell you about myself
Cause you know this couldn't be helped
And know I'm not a talkative guy
But let's go take a trip inside my mind
Inside my brain
So we can figure out why I'm insane
Only while I'm making good music
I guess I got a good influence
"Be a king, junior. Die for your dreams"
I'm still quite unsure exactly what that means
Does it mean to try to find a significance
Or just to go on with life, living it?
I'll go on with what I know
Mostly based off from me watching T.V. shows
As a kid. So what I did
Stayed in line, never really did stupid shit
Blessed by my parents. I thank them for this flesh-embodied talent I've been given
But I'll take some confidence
In myself and everything that I do
So I can end up in other people's point of view
But never at close. Only at a distance
That way, my ego never changes. For instance
Let this phrase tell you about me for a start
I'm an adult by years, but a kid at heart
So I'm hoping that I'll never lose my innocence
But I think it's been gone since my first sentence
I've ever written, so about the age of ten
I'm not sure what stopped me before, but it won't happen again
Cause, in reality, this is my only outlet
But you don't hear me cause my stuff ain't out yet
Except for a few who've said, "it's pretty good so when you make it big, please don't forget me, dude"
No need to say it. I won't forget those who give a damn
Cause everyone I've met is a reason for who I am
But that's been with time, so obviously I've change
To the same me, but in a totally different way
So you can say I've become better overtime
Cause now I can say all this shit is mine.
But really, who would've thunk
That this awkward, shy, mumbling kid had him some funk?
Cause at school, I was somewhat of a nerd
But like Microsoft, I'm getting money off of my word
It's ironic how over-confident I am on the mic
Cause I'm a totally different person whenever I am in real life
Cause I was taught to be respectful and to mind my manners
But I get a radio active, I transform, Bruce Banner
So I guess I've always had this beast locked up inside of me
Hoping one day to be free and make me better, musically
Now it's out it's cage, building up it's rage
And telling me creatively crafted mind to fucking engage
Come on, Bryant. Keep up your focus
So maybe, one day, somebody can say I've made dope shit
So I'm gonna keep on going, Manifest Destiny
And based on history, you're never gonna get the best of me
Except when it comes to this, me making my music
Cause whatever I put into it, it's a hundred percent authentic
Believe in that. This is real
Everything that I've written is truly how I feel
And I'm sharing it with you, so that makes it ours
That's just one of the perks of being a wallflower
Me, being an introvert, occasionally when I write a verse
And on having a conversation, I'm probably one of the worst
But these words helped me do something I wouldn't have dared
"You're not doing anything special if you're not scared"
Yeah
"You're not doing anything special if you're not scared"
