Some people are probably upset that slavery has been abolished.

Still to this day I can't walk free
Despite the end of slavery, I (and other black individuals) still face systemic racism that prevents me from being truly free.

Black means I get stopped in the streets
Simply being black can make me a target for discrimination and being stopped for no reason.

What's so strong I walk on two feet
Just because I'm a black person doesn't mean I'm not strong - I can still walk on two feet and stand up for myself.

I'm a human being with two hands and a beating heart, just like everyone else.

Being black is an important part of my identity.

If that's a problem I'll see you in the street
If someone has an issue with my being black, they can meet me to discuss it.

Fighting for equality
I'm actively working to ensure that everyone is treated fairly and given equal opportunities.

We have to fight for our rights, and it's not going to be easy - it'll be a struggle.

Malcolm X is emblematic of taking action to fight for what's right.

The fight for equality and justice is something that is being watched closely by many people.

People don't get it, there a little slow
Some people don't understand or are slow to understand the struggles that black people face in society.

No matter if your rich, no matter if your poor
Regardless of your socioeconomic status, everyone should have equal rights and opportunities.

Your rights they matter, they shouldn't be ignored
Everyone's rights matter and should be acknowledged and defended.

Traffic stop shouldn't need 4 cops to be deployed
It's unnecessary to have a large police presence for a simple traffic stop.

Being black is something to be celebrated and is beautiful in its own right.

Expand your life No cubicles
Black people should be given equal opportunities to thrive in society and pursue meaningful careers and lives.

Don't stick to the mold
Don't limit yourself to societal norms and expectations for black people - you can be whoever you want to be.

Worth more than gold
Black people are priceless and should be treated as such.

Hold your fist high
Hold your fist high in solidarity and as a symbol of strength.

Let your black show
Don't hide your blackness; be proud of who you are and let your unique identity shine through.
