DAX Lyrics

I mean, me personally, I've never been about the internet beef
Hm, just not for me, mhm

See me in the street, aim 'bout action
Nigga won't beef, put it in a caption
Nigga won't tweet, never 'bout rapping, I bring heat
Nigga I'm blastin', every beat
Nigga I'm snapping, bars on fleek
Nigga Kardashian, no retweet
Nigga no passin', get no sleep
Yeah nigga no cappin', no cappin', no cappin', no cappin'
Yeah nigga no cappin', no cappin', no cappin', no cappin'
See me in the street, aim 'bout action
Nigga won't beef, put it in a caption
Nigga won't tweet, never 'bout rapping, I bring heat
Nigga I'm blastin', every beat
Nigga I'm snapping, bars on fleek
Nigga Kardashian, no retweet
Nigga no passin', get no sleep
Yeah nigga no cappin'

Everyday I been on the road
Promised to my mama I would never sell my soul
To my dying day, 'til the boy got old
I don't give a fuck 'bout no silver or no gold
I'ma go back, no more I won't roll back
These niggas know that, they don't wanted no cap
I will not hold back, I been in my whole back
They made me so mad, fuckin' niggas so trash
Yeah, I been at you working, flippin' burgers
Mickey D's and dollar million service
Niggas used to flex on me, the same ones who be lurkin'
Cleaning up the game I changed the tide just like detergent
Trigger fingers turn to Twitter fingers
How you getting bodied by a janitory teeny nigga?
Should be bigger, ain't no co-sign but I still be killin' niggas
Check the figures yeah, you can check the figures (hm-hm)

See me in the street, aim 'bout action
Nigga won't beef, put it in a caption
Nigga won't tweet, never 'bout rapping, I bring heat
Nigga I'm blastin', every beat
Nigga I'm snapping, bars on fleek
Nigga Kardashian, no retweet
Nigga no passin', get no sleep
Yeah nigga no cappin', no cappin', no cappin', no cappin'
Yeah nigga no cappin', no cappin', no cappin', no cappin'
See me in the street, aim 'bout action
Nigga won't beef, put it in a caption
Nigga won't tweet, never 'bout rapping, I bring heat
Nigga I'm blastin', every beat
Nigga I'm snapping, bars on fleek
Nigga Kardashian, no retweet
Nigga no passin', get no sleep
Yeah nigga no cappin', no cappin', no cappin', no cappin'
Yeah nigga no cappin', no cappin', no cappin', no cappin'

Holy shit bro, that was hard

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to DAX's song No Cappin speak to the rapper's distaste for internet beef and his preference for taking action in person. He claims that he brings heat and blasts every beat, meaning that he is a skilled rapper who excels in the art of battle rap. He also brags about his bars being on fleek, which means that his rhymes are always on point and top-notch. DAX compares himself to a Kardashian who doesn't retweet, indicating that he is a celebrity who does not seek attention or approval from others.

The second verse is about DAX's commitment to his music and his unwillingness to compromise or sell out in exchange for fame or fortune. He claims that he is willing to go back to poverty if it means that he can remain true to himself and his art. He also talks about how people used to look down on him but now he is changing the game and making a name for himself. He refers to a social media incident where someone tried to come after him, but he stood his ground and turned the situation around. In summary, No Cappin is a song about confidence, authenticity, and the desire to succeed on one's own terms.

Since I discovered "Dear God", I've searched and listened to 10s of Dax's songs. It's impressive how he can change styles and do literally any type of rap. That versatility has never been seen in Hip Hop. Even the legends before Dax stuck to just one style for their whole careers. Seriously, if Dax keeps up with this variety of flavors, the sky is below his limit
