Weights above innocent and late for love in a city
I'd wait so long to feel you feel you here
Alone, yeah, I'll seep into your bones and innocently wait for love
The lyrics of DIIV's song Wait revolve around the emotions of longing and anticipation for love. The singer describes feelings of innocence and vulnerability as they wait for the object of their affection in the city. The line "Weights above innocent and late for love in a city" hints at the heaviness and anxiety that comes with waiting for love, especially in a bustling environment like a city. The singer then expresses how they have waited for so long to be with the person they love and how they yearn to feel their presence. The final line "Alone, yeah, I'll seep into your bones and innocently wait for love" suggests a willingness to become vulnerable and entwine oneself emotionally with another person in the hopes of finding love.

oshin is one of the best albums to ever be made. truly is a masterpiece. this song in particular brings me to a place that is both melancholic yet appreciative. for me this song is about facing ur insecurities and trying to learn and heal from them. one of the best from this album.

Not all music has to have some kind of meaning to it, it can be random. It's just music. Songs without a certain meaning can allow yourself to make a personal meaning for it. You can make the song a certain memory or emotion depending on what you want. That's real music. That makes the music useful to every individual personally. It becomes the fan's music and not just the band's
